Chapter 16

It had been four weeks. Four weeks since my precious left us. I walked around on the top of the mountain. The very mountain that we had been mated on. I looked to the left and in the far distance I could see the faint outline of the island that was a couple hundred feet away from us. I sighed and looked across the horizon. I wanted my precious back so bad. I wanted her in my arms so I knew her and my son were ok.

I laughed as I sat there with Ashleigh. I sighed as I rubbed my extended stomach. 

"I feel so alive out here." I said and looked out at the sunset. She sighed. 

"I wish I felt that way. I feel so alone. I would give anything to be normal and not have to hear people's thoughts. Believe me when I say that reading minds is a curse, NOT a gift." Ashleigh said. I licked my lips. 

"I wish you could come back with me." She barked out a laugh of anger. 

"My mother would never allow it. The bitch would do everything in her power to keep me away from what I want. From who I want." I looked over at her curiously. "I was sent here because Demi gods aren't known for being lesbians. And my luck, I am one. But don't worry, I don't like you like that. I respect mates too much to interfer. My mother, on the other hand, prides in ruining relationships. She just doesn't always sucseed." 

"so who did you fall in love with?" I asked shyly. She chuckled. 

"Why do you think it was love?" I smiled.

"Because there is no mistaking the glint in your eyes. You love her. I see that look in my father's eyes every time he looks at my mom. I get that look everytime I look at my men. I love them. And I am like you. I want nothing more than to go home to them right now." My eyes watered. "To cuddle up between them while curled up on one's chest. The feeling never fades. It never stops." I sighed and wiped my face. Suddenly the clouds darkened and the wind picked up. I automatically sheilded my stomach. "What's going on!?" I yelled over the raging winds. Ashleigh just sat there peacefully smiling. 

"You've broken the curse my mother has placed on you. Your mates a free to really look for you now. The have been, the past four weeks, but now they will be able to see you." She said camly. My eyes widened slightly. 

"You mean to tell me that my mates have been on this island and I haven't seen them?" I asked. She nodded. 

"You weren't able to see them because you were under the curse. I am not allowed to tell until the person had broken the curse. If I do, you would never break the curse." My eyes watered again. 

"What about you? You deserve to leave." She smiled. 

"Oh I wish I could. But that would be impossible. My mother happens to be a co-" Her voice fails as she looks behind me. "Oh my god." She whispered and covered her mouth as a sob rocked through her body. I looked behind me and saw the glowing woman. She looked at Ashleigh with such love in her eyes that I had no doubt this was the girl that Ashleigh had been talking about before. 

Suddenly arms wrapped around me tightly, but careful for my sons. 

"You broke my curse as well. That why my mom is so angry." She held me tightly. "THank you so much. I owe you everything." She said then went to the other girl. "Skylar, this is Kera. Kera, this is the woman who just saved me." She said, her voice breaking. Kera gave me a nod with a smile playing at her lips. 

I, however, wasn't expecting what happened next. They both bursted to flames. I gasped and chocked on my own air. I fell to my knees. 

What the hell? I screamed loud and powerful as their ashes blew in the wind mixing in with the light sand. 

"Skylar?" I heard urgently in my head. "Skylar, baby. Please, talk to me. Where are you?" I could hear Derek talking to me through our mind link. How is that possible? We hadn't be- oh yeah, I broke the curse.

"I'm on the island by the house." I said softly. I just kept staring at the remains of the only friend I've ever really had since the guys. Thinking anout friends made me realize just how much of school I was missing. I couldn't dwell on it for long because in the next second,  stood in front of Alpha's desk while I was suddenly crushed between three large and strong bodies. I felt my entire body errupt with tingles. I did nothing but let them hold me. 

"Oh my god, my love, you're finally back." I heard Ryder said. He was talking normally but my ears made it faded. 

"My precious." Cain said then dropped to his knees and put his face against my stomach gently. The babies instantly soothed into a slumber. 

"Baby are you ok?" Derek whispered. I cleared my throat. 

"Yes." I said but it only came out as a whisper. 

"GUys, get Skylar home. She needs some rest after all of this. I will stop by tomorrow evening with the Elders to do a physical exam on her and the children. Let her have rest." He ordered. No one had to ask. We all knew that he wasn't going to let us have any sexy time. Not that I wanted to tonight anyways. I just kept seeing Ashleigh and Kera turn to flames. 

I was picked up and carried out to the car. One of them, Ryder, opened the door and let whichever one that was holding me, get in. He climbed in careful to not hurt me, and held me close to his body. By his scent, I knew it was Derek. I curled into him and rested my head under his chin. I fell asleep.
