Derek~

I tensed a little as I went into the room to wake Skylar up for school. She wouldn't be very happy. Today was my morning to wake up the love of our lives but it is a lot harder than it seems. It's no light shake on the shoulder and she's awake. No, it's yelling and clawing. All done on her part. I sat on the bed and turned to her. I smiled a little. She was curled up in the blanket with her nose buried in it. I could smell all four of our scent wrapped in that one comforter. I leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"Baby it's time to get up." I said kissing her cheek again. She buried her face further and I sighed. 

"Skylar it's time to get up and get ready for school. Come on." I said a bit stronger. She peeked over the cover, glared, then hid back behind it. I felt the dominate in me getting irritated. Ryder, Cain, and I had to be really strong in the mornings. She did everything possible to piss of our wolves but we knew it was just from hormones. I sighed. 

"Skylar Pacar. Get up and get ready for school." I ordered. She sat up but glared at me.

"Why can't yall just let me freaking sleep!?" She yelled. Her eyes flashed to purple. I tensed waiting for the elder powers in her to come out. She pushed the covers away and I held out my hand to help her up. She slapped my hand out the way and went to the bathroom. I growled softly and went down to the kitchen. 

"Why does she insist on doing this every morning?" I asked running my fingers through my hair. I sat down at the island and Cain placed a plate of food in front of me. He shrugged. 

"There is no telling." 

"How do you think she is gonna react whenever she finds out we aren't attending class today?" Ryder asked. I chuckled at his terrified expression. 

"I have no clue, but I had to wake her up, I'm not telling her this." I replied.

"Telling me what?" We all turned to see our beautiful mate standing there in a long dress. Her round tummy poking out. I smiled at the sight until I realized what she asked. 

"Uhm.."

"We have a meeting today with another pack. Alpha needs all of his war wolves, so we can't attend class today." She shrugged and sat down. Cain cautiously placed a plate of food in front of her. I stayed tense due to being the closest one to her at this moment. 

"I am gonna spend this afternoon with Wren." She said softly. My blood boiled. Though it was her cousin, I did not like the thought of her spending any time with another man. Especially when she held our sons. 

"No you are not." I said. I felt Ryder glance at me. She glared

"And why not!? He is my cousin." I sighed already bored with this arguement. 

"I said no, Skylar. That's final." I got up and put my plate in the sink. She mumbled something but I froze as I heard what she said. She whispered "I hate you".

My hands gripped the counter to prevent myself from shifting right then. My wolf was in pain. He wanted our mate to like him so bad. I couldn't blame him. It tore me up hearing her utter those three words to me. 

"Skylar!" Ryder said in his Dom tone. I walked out not wanting to hear her voice. 

Cain~

I stood there shocked at what just happened. I needed to go comfort my best friend but with the look on Skylar's face, I kneww she felt terrible for what she just did. She rubbed her tummy as a single tear slipped from her eye.

"I didn't mean it." She whispered. She tried getting up, so Ryder helped her. He looked at her. 

"Fix this Skylar. You have ten minutes before you have to leave for school." She gave a stiff nod then closed her eyes. She disapearred and I knew she had found Derek. I looked at Ryder. He sighed. "She didn't mean to say it, Cain." He said. I shook my head slightly. 

"That's not what I'm worried about Ryder. She has the power to break our hearts with just one phrase. But do we have the power to do the same?" I asked. He glared at me.

"You want to hurt her!?" I rolled my eyes. 

"You know I don't. What I meant is does she love us as much as we love her?" I asked. He seemed to ponder that question. By the look in his eyes. He didn't believe it either. Yes, she was bearing our children, but that was her duty as a female wolf. Not as a woman  whom loves her mates. 

I sat at the counter until the two walked back in. Derek still looked sad, but he didn't look like his heart was just ripped out of his chest. I stood.

"It is time for you to go to school. You may hang out with Wren, but it has to be at the pack house. I will not budge on that, and next time, I won't allow you to do something that Ryder or Derek has said no about. Understood?" I commanded. She nodded. 

"Yes Sir." She went up the stairs to get her book bag and I looked at Derek. He was just looking down to his hands. 

"It get's better." Ryder said softly and walked out to take Skylar to school. 

Skylar~

I walked to my second period class. It felt so weird to not have Cain waiting for me. I walked in and all eyes turned to me. I lowered my gaze and made my way to my chair. Someone stuck out their foot and tripped me. I quickly grabbed a desk to steady myself so I didn't hurt my pups. I heard a snicker behind me. 

"Where are your guards now? Huh princess?" I turned and tensed as I saw Marcus' best friend, Daemon. 

"What do you want, Daemon." I growled. He smirked. 

"Oh, Princess has a bit of fight in her today, eh?" He stood and got close to me. I froze. Why was no one stopping him? "I will have revenge for what you did to Daemon." He whispered in my ear. I shivered in fear and went to my seat. I heard a couple snickers through the class. I looked up as Ivy sat down beside me. 

"Ignore him" She whispered to me. "He is an ass hole." 

I was silent. I knew he wasn't joking. Now me and my babies were in danger. Why couldn't I catch a break?
