Chapter 3

As I opened the front door I saw all of the kids I met today, even Nathanael

"M-mom!?" I shouted

"No, no! It's okay!" Mom ran in holding a tray of cookies, "They told me they were friends of yours!"

"Yeah, but that's not the problem!" I shouted back noticing that Nathanael was looking at me, Gotta calm down I know Nathanael is here but pull yourself together, was the only thought that popped in my head at that moment, "H-hey guys h-hows it going?" Was all I could get out of my mouth

"Don't be nervous Taiko! Come sit!" Alya smiled and patted a empty spot right in between her and Nathanael.

"Y-you know what? I-it's all r-right I'll just sit next to the piano!" I nervously giggled

"Oh well okay," was Alya's only reply, "also we thought you'd like to meet a friend of ours who wasn't there at school the past two days, this is Lily and her dog Uni!" She said pointing

"Oh w-well hi!" I waved

"Hi" she muttered

"O-okay... s-so what brings you guys here?" I asked turning away from the girl with what looked like she had a streak of blue hair on her bangs

"We just came because Nath--Ow!!" Alya said being elbowed by Nathanael

"B-because we wanted to see what American furniture looks like!" He finished her sentence he laughed nervously his faced growing pink

"O-okay..." I said when Mom came in

"So how is everyone enjoying themselves?" She asked putting the cookies down on the table on a plate

Nino grabbed a cookie, "Everything is great Mrs. G!"

"Oh you can just call me Ms. Aakine or just Emily! I got in a divorce like a month ago!" Mom said waving her hand like it was no big deal

"Oh sorry! I didn't mean to!" Nino quickly paused eating his cookie and apologizing

"It's okay I never like really to talk about it." I said

***Nathanael's P.O.V.***

"Did I tell you? We got an assignment!" Marinette said jumping to her feet

"Yeah so?" Taiko asked looking at her

"So, we get to pick our groups, well because its a group project!" She replied

"Well what's it about, because I wasn't paying attention in class." Adrien asked

"U-uh w-well i-it's about T-the History of France!" Marinette finally said blushing

"Oh okay" Taiko said slumping against the piano causing it to make a sound. She paused turning to quickly close the lid to the piano.

"Taiko?" I asked her

"Y-yeah?" She replied turning towards me one of her pink pigtails hitting her in the face.

"You okay?" I asked as they all turned to look at her

"H-huh? Y-yeah everything is fine!" She replied facing forward and her face becoming completely pink

"Taiko, did you just hit a key on the piano?" Her mom asked peeking in

"Yeah, sorry about that." Taiko replied scratching the back of her head
