Chapter 12

Previously on A Miraculous Tale (Taiko's P.O.V.): This seemed to go on for forever until the intercom came on, "The flight to America will be leaving in fifteen minutes"

They froze, "Well...fifteen minutes better act fast!" Dad said to Alex

Alex rolled his eyes, "I know! I'm not stupid!" He grabbed me and slung me over his shoulder.

I reached for Nathanael. Nathanael grabbed my hands and pulled me down. I hugged him for dear life. He held me close, only to have me pried from his grasp again. This time, by Dad.

He held me tightly, causing me to cry in pain. Dad began to walk to the gate. I watched as Nathanael ran the opposite direction. Alex laughed.

"That little wimp! Running away" He laughed again.

I glared at him. Suddenly a disc came to his head, knocking him out. I followed where the disc came from. I saw a panting Renard de Fue, his face red in anger.

"Drop the girl!" He yelled

Dad looked at him, "And what are you gonna do?"

"Just drop her!" Renard yelled again

Dad didn't instead, he ran, still holding onto me.

"The flight to America will be leaving in ten minutes" The intercom said, reminding Dad how much longer he had to wait, he growled and kept running.

An alley cat looking guy suddenly appeared at his side, "Give her to me..." He whispered.

Dad nodded and passed me on to him quickly, I was confused, "Um...Who are you?"

"I'm Chat d'allée" He replied

"Alley cat..." I muttered

"Or Alex" He stated plainly

"A-Alex?!" I stuttered.

"Of course!" He smiled

I struggled to get out of his grip, when he threw me into a chair. I began to stand up only to have him push me down again.

"What do you want from me?!" I asked

Chat d'allée laughed, "I want you to be my partner"

"For what?!" I asked again

He just continued to laugh, "For my music of course! You have a beautiful voice...or so I've heard..."

I struggled to get out of his grip.

There was a shout, "Hey! Let her go! Or I'll shoot!" I looked around Chat d'allée and saw Renard holding a gun type of thing, that was two shades of orange. Chat d'allée let me go and I ran over to Renard. I hugged him again.

Chat d'allée ran away and hid behind a wall. Renard let me go and ran after him. I sat down in a chair tiredly. I looked up and saw Dad marching over.

"Where'd he go?!" He shouted. The answer to his question was a flying overhead Alex.

I pointed, "Um... There?"

Dad growled and ran over that way, not forgetting to grab me of course, I struggled again. He hit me, and it was painful.

"The flight to America will be leaving in five minutes" The intercom said once again. Dad ran faster to the gate. I looked everywhere for Renard.

I looked up at the luggage and saw him running across it. I reached out to him, only to have my hand smacked down by Alex.

"You're not going anywhere!" Alex yelled, gripping my hand really tight, causing me to try and pull it away. He just held it tighter.

I cried, "L-let me go....P-please..." I tried to pull it back again.

"Not if you run away" He said, his grip loosening.

I shook my head, "I-I won't run..."

"Promise?" He asked

I nodded, "I promise..."
