As the two officers who originally interviewed her came in, Liam stood up and spoke confidently. "After talking with my Client.. We are 100 percent willing to cooperate with your line of questioning.. However my Client has had quite a shock after all this is her babies father."

Ds Shields nodded. "Of course, We only want to hear your client's side of the story after all."

Colleen smiled gratefully. "Thank you Officer..but I promise you that I am entirely innocent in all this and I would never put my son at risk."

Ds Shields smiled. "What you have said will be on record Mrs Chambers but it s our duty to investigate all possible leads."

Colleen shrugs "You'll be kicking yourself later though..He'll probably be fooling his next bit on the side knowing him."

Ds Shields decided in his mind from then on to take what she said with a pinch of salt. "Sometimes, I really hate my job."

He pushed a tape into the recorder and pressed record. "Those present in the room are myself, Ds Sheilds and Mrs Colleen Chambers with Her duty Solicitor Mr Liam Zaine."

Ds Sheilds looked across the table at Colleen wondering if she would stick to her story or if he would be able to break her.

"Mrs Chambers, Can you tell me from the beginning how you think all of this started?."

Colleen sighed. "Please call me Colleen..It's quite simple really..He Cheated on me."

Ds Sheilds nodded. "This is with your best friend Skylar.. Correct?."

Colleen nodded sadly. "I was angry When I found out of course..I couldn't believe he could do this to me and our son."

Ds Shields looked up at her. "Tell me what happened in your own time Colleen."

Colleen sighs "I uh..Threw him out and I didn't see him for a while until a few days later."

Ds Shields frowned. "What happened then Colleen?."

Colleen shrugs. "The usual.. We had a domestic..He told me he was Gay and then later he said that he lied and he was only saying and doing that to get back at me for me humiliating him all those years ago at the College."

Colleen started to get agitated "He wouldn't leave!.. After he began Belittling me, He switched his focus onto his son and said he wouldn't leave until he saw his son."

DS Shields tried to calm her down. "It's Okay Colleen..If you can just calm down and tell us what happened next?".

Colleen took several deep breaths and nodded. "I yelled at him and threw him out and that was the last I saw of him."

Ds Shields nodded. "Did he come to your house of his own accord?."

Colleen shook her head. "No.. I called him because I wanted to sort it all out for Damien's sake."

Ds Shields nodded understanding. "Damien is your son correct?.. Is that the last time you saw Lyle Chambers?."

Colleen nodded. "Yes! I just said that didn't I?.. When can I see my son?."

Ds Shields sighed. "Not until we have established your events tie in with all the evidence and checked other lines of inquiry after that..You and your son are free to go."

Colleen hangs her head looking at Ds Shields switching off the recorder and leaving the interview room knowing she lied. She put her hands under the table and crossed her fingers.

Ds Shields bumped into his boss as he closed the door.

"Well..Sheilds What do you think?."

Ds Shields shrugs. "I'm not sure..There's something fishy here and I'm not gonna stop till I find out what."

His boss nodded. "In that case then I suggest you go and interview the misses."

He nodded in reply. "That's a start I guess..Thanks sir."

And with that Ds Shields left on his quest to search for the truth.
