We arrived at my dad's building in less than 15 minutes. He pulled into V.I.P. space and hung his parking badge on the rear view mirror. I opened my door once he turned the engine off and slammed it behind me. I kept quiet as my dad and I walked into the front lobby of Wolfe records. I sighed as I realized that we weren't the first ones here. I kind of wanted to go in a studio and record a song I wrote.

I guess I'll do it after hours, I thought as I saw my dad motion me to follow him to the reception desk to the right of the entrance. I lazily walked behind him and smiled as soon as I saw Katie working at the front desk. Katie was one of my best friends since the second grade and stuck with me, even when I turned into a person I wasn't, she truly was an amazingly nice person.

"Morning, Mr. Hansen, how are you?" she asked my dad before seeing me and screeching and then jumped out of her chair to come around the desk and give me a hug.

"Hey, whoa, it's still before 10:00. I'm not fully capable of being mauled right now." I laughed as she basically tackled me in a hug.

"Sorry, I just didn't think your dad would actually be able to wake you up before at least 10:00. I'm just excited to see you." Kate said pulling away from the hug, but keeping her hands on my shoulders and then pulling me back in to whisper, "Are you doing okay?"

I nodded and Kate pulled away to return to her chair. She handed me a badge and earpiece that had a microphone attached with a cord. I hooked the badge onto my pocket loop, put the earpiece in my left ear, and clipped the microphone onto my shirt.

"That's your badge, keycard, yadda-yadda-yadda. The earpiece and microphone are for you to contact people. I'm pretty sure you know how to use it because you're the smartest person I know." She said while typing something into her computer.

"That and I worked at an arena as security, remember you worked at the concession stands?" I said to Kate and she looked up and smiled.

"Yeah that was two summers ago right after you dropped out of school." She laughed, but quieted down at the end and I nodded.

"Yeah I'm thinking about going back, not sure though. Maybe after everything passes." I said in a low voice.

"Sorry to interrupt your chit-chat girls, but you and I have to go meet the boys. They'll be here any minute." My dad interrupted. I rolled my eyes and waved bye to Kate as I walked towards the elevator with my dad. I'm glad I get to work with Katie, or at least in the same building. The elevator doors opened to the tenth floor and I stepped out behind my dad. I followed him down the hallway and turned right into another hallway and stopped at the last door straight ahead. My dad unlocked the door and turned on the lights as we walked in. I looked and saw the recording equipment I had grown accustomed to seeing and working with because this was my recording studio. In all honesty, I really didn't want to record with the boys in my personal studio, but I guess I don't really have a choice.

"I'm going to grab four more chairs for the boys, if the boys and Paul arrive before I come back just keep them occupied. Okay?" My dad waited for my nodded and left.

I sat down in the chair that was in front of the equipment and swiveled in the chair waiting for my dad to come back. I heard a knock on the door and walked over to open it. I opened the door to face seven people standing in front of me. I recognized everyone, Paul, Niall, Liam, Louis, Zayn, Harry, and Cory.

"Oh, Scarlet! I didn't know you were in here, I'm sorry." Cory apologized and I grabbed his arm before he could turn around.

"No, Cory, you're in the right place. I'm recording them." I said in a flat tone and his eyes widen as if he were saying I'm so sorry, I know you don't want to. I moved aside to let the boys and their manager walk in, but Cory soon turned around and waved goodbye as he walked away.
