Harry's P.O.V
I watched as Scarlett got up from the table and walked through the swinging door to the dining room. I then heard the French double doors open and close.
"Dad. What the hell?" Jace asked his father whom was sitting right next to me.
"Just leave it alone Jace. She needs to think." Her father said as if this happened regularly. It doesn't, does it? I don't know, all I know is that Scarlett is pacing back forth out there remembering some traumatic event from when her mother past away. I stood up from my chair and Mr. Hansen grabbed my arm with a death grip.
"Leave. My. Girl. Alone." His deathly dark glare poorest into my darling green eyes.
"She needs someone and if it isn't going to be you. It will be me." I whipped my arm out of his grip and hurried out of the kitchen the balcony.
"NNNNOOOOOO!!" she screamed and I ran onto the balcony and pulled the sobbing girl onto my lap as soon as I got to her level. She started squirming and trying to push me off, but I only pulled her closer. She stopped fighting and gave in and I started to slowly rock her back and forth until she stopped crying. The silence was one that was awkward, it was peaceful and soothing.
"You didn't have to." I cut her off before she could say another word.
"Yes I did. Your father said to leave it alone, but hearing you scream," I gulped. "I just couldn't stand for it."
"I'm sorry." She whispered as she wiped her tear streaked face.
"No, no. Don't be sorry it's not your fault. Do you want to get up?" I asked looking down at her beautiful, distressed face. She nodded slowly and stood up and I quickly stood up after her.
"You know, you don't have to be alone." I said as I cupped her soft cheeks it my face.
"Yes I do Harry. If you don't believe me ask my father. He ask why just tell him I said it is okay you know." She pulled away and walked off of the balcony. Ask her father? I don't know if that's such a good idea. We just had a little disagreement in the kitchen a while ago.
I realized I was standing alone on the balcony so I decided to walk back to the room I was staying in and take a shower. I didn't want to go back into the kitchen because I didn't want to face Mr. Hansen again. And niall probably ate the rest of my food by now. I chuckled because he probably did eat my food. I sighed as the hot water came in contact with my stressed muscles. Now there's one thing I have to do. Talk to Scarlet's dad.
Scarlet's P.O.V
I quickly walked through the crowded streets of downtown L.A. to meet Kate at the restaurant that we decided on. Even though it'd be almost six months since he had left me I still looked behind my back about every ten seconds. I guess that's what you get when you date the leader of L.A's most ruthless gang. So I made my way through the busy crowd checking behind me and stopping occasionally at crosswalks.
I smiled as I saw Kate waiting outside of the restaurant. She looked nervous and jumpy.
"Kate!" I exclaimed as I started to speed walk towards her.
"Scarlett! Oh my god. We need to talk like now." Kate's voice was dead serious and that scared me. I pulled back from the embrace she pulled me into.
"Kate. What's wrong?" I asked very slowly. Her eyes grew wide and she shook her head quite quickly.
"Not here." She pulled me along into the restaurant and we were seated almost immediately.
"Scar, you heard didn't you?" Kate's voice was low and serious. Her fluorescent hazel eyes bore into mine and I knew of what she was speaking. I blinked a few times and then nodded slowly.
