Chapter Three Scary Text

After I sang and the boys showered me with compliments we finally started to record some songs they had started to write. I taped the home button on my iPhone and saw the time was almost 11:30.

"Okay guys, it's almost 11:30. You wanna take a break and get lunch?" I asked as I texted Kate the same thing.

"Yes! I'm starving!" Niall practically yelled.

"You're always starving, Niall." Harry laughed and all the boys chimed in, except for Niall, who was playfully glaring at Harry.

"Alright, let's go then. Hope you guys like Italian." I said throwing my purse over my shoulder.

"I can dig Italian. Where you taking me, I mean us?" Niall asked smiling innocently. I laughed and locked the door as after the boys walked out.

"I have no clue on how to pronounce the name, but it's delicious." I said as I pressed the elevator button.

"Alright let's do this." Niall said bouncing on his toes as he ran into the elevator like a child.

"I hope you know I will not be held responsible for anything you man children do." I said as the elevator dinged singling to us that it hit the 1st floor.

"Don't worry. We won't do anything stupid." Louis said as he patted my shoulder and winked.

I saw Katie sitting at the front desk on her phone and she looked, I don't know, angry. Which is weird because she is the person that never gets angry.

"Hey Kate. You okay? You look mad." I said getting ahead if the boys to ask her.

"I'm fine. I have to talk to you though. Where are we going for lunch?" She asked as the boys reached the desk.

"Well I'm taking them to that Italian restaurant. Wanna come?" I asked and she nodded her head.

"Sure. Just let me get my things and clock out." She stood up from her desk and her hands looked a little shaky as she reached for her purse. I shrugged it off but she better tell me when we got back.

"Alright I'm ready." She smiled and that's when I saw the scared look in her eye. I knew he had said something to her.

We arrived at the restaurant and were given seats immediately. Guess that's the plus of being superstars. We sat all the way in the back, in a secluded area.

We ordered our drinks and sat quietly before I spoke up.

"Alright let's not make this awkward. Did you guys meet Katie?" I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah she checked us in at the desk." Niall replied kindly.

"That's nice. Anyway she's my best friend. We've known each other since the 2nd grade. She stuck with me through some really rough spots in my life so I know she won't ever leave." I said proudly. Niall must've noticed Katie's quietness and looked at her quizzically. I wish I could look like Kate her long wavy brown hair cascaded down her back stopping halfway. And her gorgeous hazel eyes had the brightest green and brown that was more golden. She had tan skin too. Not only did she look like an angel, but she had no tattoos or piercings, other than her ears.

"You okay, love?" Liam asked Kate. She nodded her head and handed me her phone. I tried my best to not gasp loudly when I read the text that was on the screen.

Hey, Kate. I wanna make this as simple as possible. You are dead.

I felt the angerrise in my body. Though there is nothing I can do to save her I won't let her go. She saved me I owe her my life. I wasn't afraid of Anthony I'd never been afraid if him. It was just the other guy I was afraid of he'd ruined my life. I had been in hell and I'm just getting out. I will not let anyone get in my way. And I mean I did what he wanted and he said he wouldn't bother me after I did. Anthony never gave Katie that satisfaction. He's been after her ever since, but he's truly too scared to do anything as long as she is my friend.

I snapped out of my thoughts as our food arrived, I'd completely forgot that we had ordered. I was happy that the food had gotten here because I was actually really hungry. As we were eating we laughed, chatted, and made new memories.

When we finished eating I paid for everything because the guys didn't have money right now. We left the restaurant and piled into two cars I was driving one and Kate was driving the other. Liam, Zayn, and Louis were driving with Kate and Niall and Harry were driving with me. I started the ignition and my phone buzzed in my pocket and my heart literally stopped when I saw, who texted me.

Thoughts ran through my head, This can't be happening. He said he would leave me alone, that he would forget about everything. I did what he said. Why? No, no, no.
