After I had taken off my makeup he sat there staring at me with a pale face, his jaw tight, and his fists clenched. "Please don't freak out and do something stupid." I said as he looked away from me. "Why would I freak out or do something stupid it's not like you don't have tons of cuts and bruises on your face for me to freak out over." He said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and said "You know what Nate why do you care so much it's not even that big of a deal."
"NOT A BIG DEAL? CECILY YOU ARE BEING ABUSED AND YOU'RE SAYING IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL?"
After he was done yelling he was looking at her and breathing really heavy. I was looking back at him with my mouth open and eyes wide for about ten seconds until I closed my mouth, narrowed my eyes.
"It's not a big deal because it's been happening for years and I'm still alive and I don't know why you think it's any of your business." After I said that I opened her door and started walking away from the car. "Cecily wait." Nate said as he grabbed my arm, spun me around, and pushed me against the passenger door. "Let me go." I said.
"Not until you say you'll listen to what I have to say."
"Fine I'll listen."
"It is a big deal because it's been happening for years and you've let him get away with it then he thinks he can keep doing it and it's my business because I'm the only one who knows right? Not even that precious little boyfriend of yours?" He said. We stared into each others eyes for what seemed like forever until I said "Fine you're right. But don't tell anyone or do anything."
"Well you won't have to worry about me telling anyone but I can't promise that I won't do anything."
"Fine if your gonna do something at least tell me what your gonna do before you do it so I have time to compromise with you." After I said that his face lit up and he started smiling like he had and idea but before I could say anything he opened the door picked me up put me in my seat, slid across the hood of the truck, hopped into the drivers seat and pulled out of the gas station parking lot. As soon as they were back on the highway he tossed me my half melted milkshake and cold fries. "Bon appetite." He said with a smirk on his face but quickly got rid of it when I threw a fry at his face. "Hey the only reason your fries are cold is because you decided to throw a hissy fit and storm out of the car." He said with a smile. "The only reason I threw a hissy fit is because you yelled at me." I pointed out. "Touché." He said looking at her for about five seconds before turning back to the road and saying "We're gonna have to make a quick pit stop at my house before we go to yours and put my plan in action."
"What do you mean by Your plan?"
"You'll find out." He said as he turned off of the highway and into a very fancy looking neighborhood. I sighed and said "You better not do anything stupid Green."
"I won't." He said with a smirk as he pulled into his driveway.
