Chapter 16 - Problems.

It was another lazy Sunday. I woke up feeling pretty tired because the last two days has been quite hectic. Sneaking out at night and helping Katie and all that.

I decided that today is gonna officially be a 'rest and do homework' day. But before that I gotta eat, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as spongebob has taught me. (Lmao xD)

I went downstairs to fix some toast as always, with vegemite. It was heaven. I made a couple and went back upstairs. To do some homework of course.

I looked at the time and it was only 9 still. I texted Annie a good morning, but then I realized that we've never facetimed before. She texted good morning back. "You wanna face time bae?" I texted her. "Sure but I'm in bed still though" she replied.

She accepted my face time and there she was, on her bed still, with the cutest puffy face. "Omg your face is so cute!!" I said. She stretched and kind of moaned. "Yeah, you too!" she said back.

"But not as puffy as you" I laughed. She just smirked back. "So how's gymnastics going?" I asked. "Its fine. I'm gonna be level 10 soon" she said excitedly. "Thats amazing" I said back.

We chatted on for a while until she said that she had to get ready to go out with her family. "Ugh every Sunday, my mom makes all of us go out together. Its like a family day for us" she explained. "Oh that's cool" I said. "Well I have to go now ughhh. Text you later kayy? " she said. "Yeah okay bye beautiful" I said. "Buhbye Romeo" she said back as I hung up the phone.

I finished my toasts and took a shower. After I was done, I sat down and started doing some homework. But before that, I put on my headphone and started jamming to PILLOWTALK by Zayn. It was incredibly good.

A few hours later
I was finally done with all of my homeworks and I was really tired. It was already 3 o'clock. I couldn't sleep though, so I just chilled on the balcony. It was really boring.

I went back in and saw my acoustic guitar just lying around on the floor. Hey I haven't played you in a long time, I thought to myself. I picked it up and started playing some chords.

I was working on a song, it was still untitled and not fully done but I'm working on it. "I wanna tell you how beautiful you are from where I'm standing" I sung. "I keep craving craving you, don't know it but it's true. Cant get my mouth to say the words they wanna say to you"

Its coming along pretty nicely, I thought to myself. Well that's it for today. What should I name this song though? I whispered to myself. 'Imagination'? Sounds cool. Ill figure it out later.

I looked back at the time and it was already 5. Woah, where did all the time go.

Annie should be back home by now right? Ill text her. "Hey babe, you back yet?". She didn't reply. Probably not I guess.

My stomach growled. I'm starving. I didn't eat my lunch. I went downstairs to see if there's any food. Luckily, there was a big bowl of mac and cheese just hanging around on top of the counter. Oh great, I whispered to myself.

"I thought you were sleeping upstairs. I didn't want to wake you up" mum said from the living room. "I was doing my homework" I said back. "Oh, you came down just in time. I made that for you" she said. "Thanks mum" I said to her.

While I was eating the mac and cheese, Annie finally replied. She just texted 'yeah'. "So how was it?" I texted back. "Fine" she replied.

I could sense that something was wrong. Why is she replying with just one word? I thought to myself. "Is everything okay?" I asked. "Yes" she replied.

"Seriously Annie, why are you acting like this" I texted back. "Why don't you tell me" she replied.

I was confused. What is she talking about? "What do you mean?" I asked. "What were you doing at Katie's, yesterday huh?" she replied.

Woah how does she know that? I thought to myself. "Nothing I swear. How did you know?" I texted. "Caleb told me. He said that you were hanging out with Katie in her room!" she replied back.

I guess Caleb is still trying his best to make us not end up with each other.

"We didn't do anything, I was just helping Katie" I texted. "Wow I can't believe you lied to me, Calum" she texted back. "I trusted you. How can I believe that you didn't do anything with her huh?" she added.

"Because I love you Annie, I would never cheat on you. I'm not Brennan" I replied back. "I love you too but.." she texted. "How do I know for sure?" she added.

"Didn't Caleb tell you about him and Katie?" I asked. "No why?" she replied. "Well, Katie likes him. You know that right? So I'm just helping her out. Thats why I asked you if Caleb had a girlfriend yesterday remember?" I texted.

"Yes I remember but.. you lied to me. You said that you weren't gonna help her" she texted back. "I'm sorry about that. I just didn't want you to get confused or anything" I replied.

"Next time just tell me the truth okay Cal?" she texted. "Okay Annie. I swear no more lies" I texted back. "So how was family day?" I added.

We continued texting each other after that. I was glad that she believed me. It was the truth after all. I'm quite mad at Katie for telling Caleb that I was with her though. But I guess it was what I deserved for lying to Annie.
