I woke up not to long ago in Riley's bed, and when I did, guess what I found.

My brothers and sisters...asleep on her floor.

They don't know when to stop, do they?

I smile to myself and my heart flutters.

So, this is what having a family feels like?

Of course I have had a family, it was just incomplete.

I am so happy that I know what this feels like. It's almost like happiness.

Suddenly, my conscious clicks.

Maybe it is...

I sit up and see that Maxx was sprawled over Eva and Blake was on a bean bag and bell was cuddling up to Maxx.

Awww

I bite my lip to suppress a laugh and see that Riley was still asleep as well which is weird because she is an early bird.

Wait a minute...

''Riles, I know you're not sleeping.'' I chuckle in a whisper.

She didn't turn.

''Fine, I guess I'm just gonna check my phone for any depressing news.'' I sigh in fake despair.

Her body shifted, but didn't turn.

I click my phone for affect and fake a sniffle,'' Lucas, b-broke up with me...''

Her body whipped around,'' What?! I will kill him---''

I start laughing.

''What?" She snarls.

''I was kidding. You should learn to listen, Riles.''

She pouts,'' That was mean.''

I shrug and we look and see my siblings squirm.

They're waking up...

''Yeah, they arrived late last night to shower you in apology but said they'd wait until you woke up.'' She giggles,'' Gosh, you're so lucky Maya. You're blessed...''

''Maybe I am, Riles. Maybe I am.''

But they can't expect too much, Riles. They can't...

I see Maxx open his eyes first. They wander to me and he gently places belle over and rushes to my side.

''Maya, gosh...Maya.'' He stammers with ragged breaths as he embraces me tightly.

''Maxx.'' I sigh, hugging him back.

''No, hear me out. Please.'' He breathes, pulling back and taking my hand in his, our eye connecting.

In  his, swam heartache and tiredness. Now in mine, was a pool full of determination.

I'm ready to let go...

Right?

''Maya, we didn't want you to ever think that you have no control over your life and I am so sorry for overreacting but I just got you...I don't wanna lose you again.'' He stresses.

''Maxx, I get it. You're my family, all of you are, and you always will be...but maybe we just weren't meant to meet so soon...'' I grin sadly.

''N-no..!'' He protests, scooting closer.
