Guns and Dads

Head hurt as I forced my eyes open. I seemed to have some nightmare where my dad and Kyle came back. I was laying in Austin's arms on the ground.

When I looked up I meet the cold dead eyes of my dad. I wanted to faint again but I didn't.

"Happy birthday baby girl." My dad's deep voice said.

I didn't like it when he called me baby girl. It meant that he wanted something.

"What do you want?" I yelled at him.

"Oh the little girl finally grew up?" He laughed.

I felt like smacking him. Just for the satisfaction of hurting him like he hurt me all these years.

"What do you want?" I repeated.

"I want to take you back home." He answered.

"There is no home with you. You never loved me. You only want to see me hurt. You always have to have the last word. Can't you just let me be happy this one time?" I was on the edge of crying but held it back, I was gonna stay strong.

"Your my daughter and I want you to come home." He starred at me with dead set eyes.

"The only thing I ever got from you was the strength to put up a fight." I smirked but dropped it quickly.

"Come home." He ordered.

I crossed my arms and stood by Austin. My dad gave his head a simple nod before heading to his car and getting someone out of the backseat. From where I was standing I couldn't tell who it was. Not until I came face to face with her.

That's when I broke down. There stood my mom with her arm snatched tightly in my dad's hand. She didn't die? Tears fell from my eyes as I looked at her in disbelief. Her soft brown hair was a mess but still beautiful like I remembered it. Her blue eyes bright.

"Mom?" I whispered.
