Merida's POV

I walked towards the dinning hall, swinging my arms merrily has I went. I know what you're thinking. Princesses swing their arms? Not all princesses do.

Just me.

I'm also the only princess who is an expert with a bow. As I walk in the dinning room and sit at the table, I set my bow next to me on the table.

"Merida, no weapons on the table." My mother says without looking at me.

"Mom. It's just my bow." I retort back. But I listen and hang it over the back of the chair and sit down.

Gosh she's so picky! Thanks to her, I almost wasn't allowed to have a bow. She thinks all princesses should be proper and lady like. She thought it "not lady like" for a princess to have a weapon. But luckily, my father stepped in and said that I needed to learn how to defend myself. And my mother agreed and allowed me to keep the bow.

"Merida?" My mom says.

I snap out of my train of thought and look at her. She's holding a small peice of paper.

"Berk has accepted." She says grinning at me.

"What? Berk has exepted what?" I ask looking from her to my father.

"Your hand in marriage if course!" My mom says excidedly.

My heart sinks. "An arranged marriage?!?! DAD!!!!!" I say.

"Well... But... She.... Eleanor." My father says looking at my mom.

"You must marry the son of the cheif and unite our two small island kingdoms."

"I WON'T GO THROUGH WITH THIS!" I shout at her. I stand up, grab my bow, and run out of the castle.

I hop on my horse and ride away from the castle. Tears filling my eyes.

~~~~~~~~~ Several days later~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sitting on a grassy hill side, thousands of miles from my kingdom on the coastline if my kingdom. Some how, I needed to cross the ocean and get out of here. I sat and thought for what seemed like ages.
Nothing.
Nothing was coming to mind.
That was it.
I am stuck here.
Just at that moment, I saw something appear in the sky.
It was something large and black.
"What??" I began to ask myself but then I realized that the thing was a dragon. And it was flying strait at me.
I screamed.
It's large talons grabbed my body.
"Toothless!!" I heard a voice shout. "What have I told you about grabbing teenage girls that I don't know?!?"
"Toothless?!?!?!" "I shout. This thing has a name??"
I suddenly feel my feet hit the ground and we land.
The dragon had released me so I had landed on my feet. But the downside was, he dropped me in a tree.
I saw the dragon now but I also saw something else. It was a teenaged boy.
