Rapunzel's POV

I more than anything DID NOT want to go to Arendelle.

This would only lead to severe akwardness.

I had never met my cousin's who live there, but I hear that one of them is a witch. And, if you are thinking what I am thinking, no good can come from a witch.

But what other choice did we have?

We just ran away from Santa Clause, The Easter Bunny, and The Tooth Fairy. Not only that but Santa has some mean sword skills and I wouldn't want to be some where he could find me. I would prefer to live for the next few months that I'm bound to have gotten myself into.

"Hey Punzie?" Jack asks.

I jump, which is really scary if you are flying might I add. I had TOTALLY forgotten Jack was there.

"Yes?" I ask as my heart rate returns to it's normal speed.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes I'm Fine." I lie.

Jack raises his eyebrows and stares at me with a look of, "Wow. Really. I'm not stupid. You're lying." look.

Those big blue eyes were so handsome in the moonlight. They seemed to glow and they seemed to also be staring deep into my very soul. I sunddenly felt the strong urge to tell Jack EXACTLY what he wanted to know.

I bit my lip.

Jack laughed.

"That's not funny!" I say.

"I have ways to find out even if you don't want to tell me." Jack states.

"How did you do that?" I ask.

Jack shrugs. "Let's just say it's one of my special abilities." Jack mutters.

My eyes widen, "You have special gifts?" I ask.

"All of us do."

"You mean.... I have powers?" I ask.

"Well.... Yeah! I'm pretty sure you do."

"Then how come they haven't activated or whatever yet?"

"Only an act of true love can bring your powers out."

I turn away and glare at the ocean flying beneath me. That means that Jack loves another and that I had no hope with him what so ever.

"How do I know it's true love?" I ask to the ocean.

"You feel like every nerve in your body is connected to that person. You would do anything, even sacrifice your own life, to keep that person safe. You feel like you can't live without the person." Jack says.

I flushed at the ocean floor which was still flying beneath me. What Jack had just described was exactally how I felt around him. I know it sounds completely and totally insane. I mean, I barely know Jack! But somehow, magically, Jack had worked his way into a place in my heart. I need to anything, everything in my power to keep him safe.

~~~~~~~~~Merida's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not going to lie, flying on a freaking dragon is the awesomest thing any person could EVER experience.
I sat on Toothless's back staring, in awe, at the ocean spread out around me. The moon reflected perfectly in the ocean's water, and the breeze smelt of salt. I smiled so huge, that I felt like my cheeks were going to fall off.
I carefully take my arms and wrap them, gently around Hiccup's waist. (HEY! I DON'T WANT TO FALL OFF THE DRAGON.)
I see him turn his head slightly in my direction just enough that I can see his green eyes peek out of the corner at me. The smallest smile speads across his face as he turns away.
I can't help but smile to and I rest my chin on his shoulder still taking in the beautiful scene.
"It's so beautiful." I say in Hiccup's ear.
"Yeah. It is amazing." Hiccup replies as he tilts his head to one side, resting his head against mine.
I feel my eyelids becoming heavy and my head slowly tilts to the right of me and I feel myself doze off.
Then, I'm falling.
~~~~~~~~~Hiccup's POV~~~~~~~

The moment I felt Merida slip through my finger tips is a moment that I'll never forget.

Complete and utter terror fills my body as I watch her fall.

When she's fallen about 5 ft from Toothless, I make the decision.

I jump and tumble after her.

I can hear her screaming as her arms fly around her and her hair sticks straight up behind her.

I tuck my arms into my side and fall faster, catching up with her.

"Merida!" I shout.

She looks at me with her beautiful blue eyes and is momentarily puzzled.

"HICCUP WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" She shouts above the roaring wind.

I grab her waist and pull her to my body. "If you die Merida, I die. I don't care what the cost is."

A tear runs up her forehead and into the sky. "No Hiccup. You need to save yourself." Merida says in a shaky tone.

"No. I won't live without you." I say.

Merida is now sobbing. I look down and see the ocean hurtling toward us. I didn't have much time. I have to tell her.

"Merida, I'm doing this because I love you." I say.

She looks at my then she pulls me in and we kiss.

Her lips are as soft as velvet and move in sync with mine. When we break apart, I see she is still sobbing.

"I love you too Hiccup." Merida whispers.

And we hold eachother as we hurtle towards the ocean.
