Where-where am I? It smells and looks sterile and OW! "My head..." I whined. I could hear mumbling, a scottish accent was near. "Oh settle down dearie. Your head isn't going to get any better if you keep moving."
The lady, I assumed she was a nurse, stuck a needle into my left hand and my head felt better. "You've got a weird and rare talent dearie. The other nurses are scared of you because of it."
I sat up slowly and looked at my hand. A red spot was in the very centre of my hand. "Wh-what is that? What talent?"
"Oh dearie, I don't think talent was the right word to use. Now I think we should let April in here. Shes been dying to see you since she brought you here."
"OH MY GOD! I never actually realised you had that spot! Doesn't that mean that-" April was cut off by a loud ringing. The nurse started speaking again, "Run along to class now April, go tell Ms. Jones that Samantha will be there soon." April disappeared.
Who the hell is Ms. Jones? Why are there bells in a hospital? How does this nurse know my name? Why is April just travelling around willy nilly? I flopped back down on the bed, exhausted.
"Can't lie down and rest now dearie, its time for your first lesson."
NURSE SAY WHAT!?
"Dearie, that is not polite to say that."
Crap I said that out loud. "Sorry, its a thing I do." The door swung fast and hard inwards and the first thing I saw was jet black hair, grey eyes and the most amazing body.
I didn't realise he was speaking to me until he yelled. "Hello? Are you deaf? I said Ms. Jones is waiting. Come on!" My body started burning when he was talking. The nurse had disappeared, I couldn't see her any where. The mystery guy came over to me, grabbed my arm and let it go abruptly. My arm wasn't burning anymore it was freezing. The boy disappeared and re-appeared in front of me. Oh no, no, no, no!!
"Here at Traveller High we listen to our superiors!" He scolded. "I don't listen to people I don't know!" I retorted. I swear I saw his eyes go white. A long and devil like stare followed our little banter until a loud, booming and powerful voice came from over head.
"Could Samantha Grey and Jason Strent please report to the head Travellers office. immediately."
Woah. That was creepy. I hadn't even been here for an hour and already I'm in trouble. HANG ON!!
"Strent......Strent I've heard that name before. Where have I heard it from.....a book or a movie? Hey! Where do I know you from?" I asked him. Jason's grey eyes turned and locked with mine. He walked towards me and our faces almost touched. My body was burning. Jason put a hand on my shoulder and I swear you could hear steam. But, like before, he pulled back instantly. "Hold my hand." He said. He said it as if the last 2 minutes didn't just happen. "Do you want to get in trouble?" He was joking but we did have to leave. A quick flash and I was in another room. Oh yeah! I forgot about that...the booming voice spoke again, only this time it was right in front of me. "Samantha Grey, Welcome to Traveller High."
