Chapter 55: (Third Person)

(This is a few months after the last chapter)

The weather is horrible. The snow is building up and the temperature is somewhere in the negatives. Grace and Misha have held off on Christmas shopping and their only excuse is that they're just too lazy.

It's Christmas Eve and they just got home from their parent's house, and have to go back out again to shop. However, Grace's mother advised her not to go out because the roads are so dangerous.

Just as Grace gets bundled up for the cold weather, Misha pulls her hat down over her eyes.

"Misha stop!" she yells and hits him playfully.

The couple share a kiss under the mistletoe before walking out the door.

The roads are slippery so Misha intently focuses on driving. The ride to the best place to go Christmas shopping is considerably long. In the meantime, Grace quietly sings "Oh Ms Believer" by Twenty One Pilots.

"You have an amazing singing voice, sweetie. You're perfect you know that?" Misha compliments her.

"Aw, Mish..I'm not perfect. But thank you." Grace replies, blushing.

Then Misha starts singing to Grace.

"...Tonight we are victorious, champagne pouring over us!.."

Grace starts laughing at this. He could always put a smile on her face.

They hold hands and sit in silence. Their silence was never awkward. It was enjoyable and comforting. Grace enjoyed peaceful moments like these. Eventually minutes pass, and Grace, who is probably sleep deprived from staying up so late watching TV, starts to doze off.

She jolts awake to the sound of screeching tires. Misha loses control of the car and slides off the icy rode, colliding windshield first into a tree. The whole front half of the car gets smashed inwards, glass flying everywhere. Everything goes silent.....
