Eight months later...
I open my eyes, facing Liam in bed. He then opens his eyes, smiling. I smile back saying 'Good morning.'
'Good morning to you too' He said.
A baby starts crying in the other room.
'I got it.' Liam said, as he gets up.
I smile and get up as well. I'm downstairs making breakfast as Liam takes care of the baby. Liam is dressed in his cop suit and brings Jessica downstairs with him. He carries her as he watches me make breakfast. Later breakfast is made. Liam hands me the baby, as he quickly eats breakfast.
'I'll see you later.' Said, Liam.
'See you later, have a nice day!' I said, as he kisses my cheek then leaves.
Honestly, life just couldn't get better. I had my baby, named Jessica. Liam and I are going to get engaged later on. Everything is great, knowing Drake is gone and wasn't going to hurt me anymore.
I start to think about the past. When my ex-husband and my two children died and I had no one but myself. I thought it would be the end of the world. I just wanted to die but here I am. I am finally happy with my family now. I thank god for giving me a second chance.
If god didn't give me a second chance, god knows what would have happened. I tried to stop thinking about the past because, the past honestly destroys us, and keeps us from living the future today. I am Lonnie Clifton.. (soon to be Lonnie Mendoza) and I have survived. That's all that mattered.

Someone's perspective
*in the woods, near the church. Two people decide to explore inside the woods.*
'Hey! hurry up Frank and get over here! I found a waterfall!' I said.
'Alright, alright Liza. I'm coming.' Said Frank.
'This waterfall is beautiful!' I said.
'It sure is, except for that hand.." Frank said.
"What hand?' I said, looking at him confused.
A hand grabs the end of the mountain of the waterfall, struggling to get up.
I screamed.
