6:30.

phil's eyes shot open at the first beep of his alarm clock. he shifted to the right side of his bed and checked his phone. nothing, of course. who would want to talk to someone like phil lester? after lying in bed for a few, he finally gathered up the strength and willingness to leave his cloud-like bed. he glanced upward and noticed the light leaking in from his curtains. the sun.

"good morning, sunshine."

the sun continued to rise as it warmed phil's face through the window. he smiled. today was going to be a great day. a day to lay outside, checkered blanket on the ground. grass flourishing and flowers blooming as he would sit down and cloud-gaze.

then he realized. he lives in a dirty apartment, hardly any ventilation, and barely any money. oh well.

6:40.

the bus would be here soon to come and pick him up, so that he could go to school, obviously.

hopefully today would be better than yesterday. or the day before that, or the day before--

phil stopped thinking. his brain was silent as he picked out a light yellow oversized sweatshirt from his tiny closet. dark jeans were today's compliment to complete the outfit. his raven fringe was fixed to the right side of his head, and his ocean-like eyes lit up at the sight of his final look. it was seemingly lazy to put an outfit so basic together, but what can he do about it? phil himself was a basic person. nothing complex or advanced.

6:55.

phil grabbed his backpack and closed his apartment door, it being jammed in the incorrectly measured doorway. he grunted as he struggled to get  the door closed completely, and, once successful, pulled out his silver keys and dangled to the one for the door. he continued to lock it and then proceeded down a few flights of stairs and to the entrance. there was a bus stop sign, right where he stood everyday, alone. no friends. as mentioned before, basic life.

7:10.

the bus pulls up. phil embarks and listens to various teenagers as their voices ring into his ears. he takes a seat in row 5, no one sitting beside him. the group across from him gave a disgusted look, then continued their apparently-interesting conversation.

this was phil's life everyday. nothing special ever happened. except for what he was faced with later that morning.
