"Lucy, can I stay over at your house for the duration of the project ?" Natsu asks, a little grin on his face.

"Why not ?" Lucy smiles, pleased about the company.

Lucy has been living alone ever since her parents died in a car accident. Well, since she was 16, she decided to live by herself than go to a foster home.

"Great ! Let's go ask Igneel after school !" Natsu chirps and Lucy laughs.

"I'm sure he'll say yes." Lucy says pleasantly.

"Natsu ! Lu-chan !" Levy calls out, dragging Gajeel with her.

"Levy-chan !" Lucy grins and hugs Levy, who hugs her back tightly.

Lucy and Levy are best friends too. Not as close as her and Natsu, but close enough. They both bonded over the love of books.

"So, you're partnering Gajeel ?" Natsu asks Levy, who nods, looking a little worried.

"Gajeel says he'll partner up with me." Levy replies, smiling nervously.

"Of course Shrimp. Who else would I partner ?" Gajeel says gruffly.

Levy blushes, and she smiles sweetly at Gajeel. Much to Natsu's surprise, a tint of pink can be seen on Gajeel's face as he looked into Levy's eyes for a split second.

"How sweet," Lucy murmurs, staring at the two dreamily.

That snapped Gajeel out of it and he turned away, the pink still visible on his cheeks. Levy flushes and tugs a loose bang of blue hair behind her ear.

"Ah, Lu-chan, are you and Natsu partnering together as well ?" Levy asks now.

"Yup, who else ?"

"Oh yes, the Golden Couple !" Levy teases, and both Natsu and Lucy brushes it off.

Lucy pauses for moment after that. Golden Couple ? Is that what everyone thinks they are ?

"Lu-chan ?" Levy says hesitantly and Gajeel snaps his fingers.

"Oh ! Yeah ?" Lucy zones back into reality, a sheepish smile on her face.

"Did you hear what I said ?" Levy asks, frowning.

"Uh.. No.. Sorry, Levy-chan." Lucy aplogises.

"No biggie. Anyway, Gajeel and I are supposed to be married ! With a baby ! Oh gosh, what am I supposed to do ?"

"Shrimp, shut your mouth. You'll be a wonderful mom." Gajeel interjects, a small blush on his face.

Lucy feels herself swoon a little. Wow, Gajeel can be sweet!

"..Really..?" Levy now has a small flush on her cheeks.

"Of course. I mean, you read so many books like a nerd, surely you know how to be one. "

Levy scowls, her blush gone. She grabs her bag from Gajeel with a glare.

"I'll be off to my next class now. See ya." Levy says sharply.

"Oi Shrimp, aren't we going together ?"

"I can manage on my own, since I read so many books like a nerd !" With a huff, Levy storms off.

"Did I say something wrong ?" Gajeel looks confused.

"Er yes." "No." Natsu and Lucy both say at the same time.

"Go apologise, chase after her !" Lucy yells, and with surprising strength, she pushes Gajeel forward, who rushes off after Levy.

Way to ruin a sweet moment, Gajeel. Lucy silently says, before turning to Natsu with a small smile.

"Let's go off for our next class, shall we ?"
