Chapter Ten

"Ah Lucy, here you go. A healthy, happy, well not quite happy since it's crying right now, baby girl!" Ur smirked, dumping a naked baby wrapped in a pink towel onto the blonde.

"Uh, Miss Ur, where are the baby clothes?" Lucy asked, rocking the baby back and forth.

"Tch, you're supposed to buy them yourself. Remember to get milk too, the baby only drinks milk."

"Isn't it a toy? How on earth is it going to drink milk?"

"It's a stimulated baby model. I have no idea how they came up with this crap but this tiny munchkin can drink milk and pee and shit too. You'll be graded based on the happiness of this stupid baby by the way."

"Miss Ur.... You're enjoying this way too much," Lucy sighed. "Tiny munchkin? Really Miss Ur?"

The teacher looked somewhat sheepish, scratching her head awkwardly. "It is tiny."

"Miss Ur, do you not like kids or something?"

"Shoo off now, Lucy! Don't be too curious."

Lucy sighed once more at the crying bundle in her arms. The baby was currently wailing, which proved to be an extreme nuisance as people along the hallway stared.

"Ssssh, quiet now!" the blonde whispered, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment.

"Luce, I got you a chicken- WOAH, what on earth is that ugly thing?" Natsu skidded to a stop in front of the blonde, a chicken sandwich in his hand.

"It's our baby," Lucy scowled. "It is not an ugly thing. Isn't it quite cute?"

"Not really .... It's crying, Luce! It's crying!"

"Tell me about it, I'm not exactly deaf, Natsu!"

Natsu grabbed the baby from Lucy and threw it into the air, much to Lucy's horror.

"Natsu!"

"Don't worry, I got her-"

"Natsu!"

"Oops. I dropped her."

"You're going to give our baby brain damage!"

A soft giggle escaped from the baby.

Lucy stared at it in astonishment. "It stopped crying. Dropping it on the floor works?"

"It's a she, Lucy. Not an it."

"Pick her up!"

"So Natsu, what should we name our baby?" Lucy asked, eyeing the pink bundle in Natsu's arms.

An elderly woman next to the two shot them a dirty look.

"Should we really be naming our baby on the bus?" Natsu responded.

"Where else are we going to name our baby? Hey she kinda looks like you." Lucy cooed softly at the baby, twisting the tiny strands of pink hair on top of her head.

"That's cause she's mine! My kid!" Natsu exclaimed loudly.

"Yeah yeah, looks like we don't need a DNA test."

The old woman next to them shoots them another offended look. Lucy pretended not to notice.

"So, Lucy, how about Chicken?"

"You want to name our baby Chicken?" Lucy didn't know whether to cry or to laugh.

"Yup! Cause I love chicken so I'll love our baby too!"

"That's not how it works! You're supposed to love our baby no matter what."

"So, not Chicken?"

"No!" the blonde almost shouted, before she composed herself.

"Potato?"

"No."

"Shrimp?"

"We are not naming our child after something Gajeel calls Levy!"

"Oh yeah, so mush-"

"Enough. How about Natsuna? It sounds like your name."

A smile broke out on Natsu's face. "Natsuna is a nice name, but she needs your name in her name too!"

"You want the baby to have a combination of both our names?" Lucy blushed, a small smile appearing on her face.

"Yeah, of course! We made this tiny thing together!"

The old woman glared once more.

"Natsu ..."

"Ah Lucy! How about Luna? Lu from Lucy, Na from Natsu!"

Lucy gasped in surprise. Luna Heartfilia Dragneel. Luna, Luna, what a nice name!

"Luna Heartfilia Dragneel! Sounds nice, doesn't it?" Lucy mused.

"Definitely does!"

"Did you see that old woman on the bus, Natsu?"

"Yeah, she looked as if she wanted to kill us or kill our Luna. Or both."

"I wonder what got her knickers into a twist?"

"Ew Lucy! Don't say it like that! Now I'm imagining granny panties-"

"Shut up Natsu!"

"Kids these days... Only in high school and getting knocked up. When I was their age, I was-"
