Chapter 4: I would rather Die

Percy's POV

Still mad, I walk to the Poseidon cabin and into the the bathroom. Then I started to make the water current stronger and stronger until the water pipes exploded. Then it suddenly stopped.

"Godsdamnit! Come back water!"

"Percy stop!" I turn around and Poseidon was shrinking to human size. "You've almost exploded all the pipes in the whole camp."

"Sorry," I sit on the bed and put my arms and head on top of my legs, "It's just that they've already threatened to kill my mom, sent me down to tartarus, erased my memory, so what else do they want to do."

I look back up and he was already gone. So I go to sleep.

Annabeth's POV

I scream and start crying. "Please stop, why are you doing this to me?" I feel another sword or whatever that is, go through me. But I am still not dying. The girl tied me up to this post that appeared a while ago, just beside Percy.

"Do you know why they're all dead Annabeth? When you collapsed a while ago, I killed them all because Percy, Percy never came back for me!"

"PLEASE, please just kill me already. I would rather die than live a life without him." I reply, shouting at her.

"Not until I torture the girl he picked over me first." She laughs before I feel another dagger through me.

Percy's POV

When I wake up, it is at least 5 pm so I decide to see if Annabeth was awake in the infirmary, "Hey Will."

"Hey. She's not awake yet," Will replies.

"May I see her?" I ask.

"Sure."

I go inside a door and see that her whole body was in pain. It also seems like something was stabbing her.

"Why does it look like she's about to die?" I ask him worriedly.

"I don't know, but Hecate left about and hour ago trying to lessen the magic or whatever," he pauses as if thinking what to say, "She said someone was torturing her in her mind. But Annabeth thinks it's all real, even if it isn't"

"Is she gonna be okay?" I ask again while sitting down and slipping my hands into hers.

"Well we had a bit of complications a while ago,  but we started spooning her ambrosia and nectar while Hecate was there doing her thang," He smirks at himself, "It was pretty awkward."

"Anything else?" I ask.

"She started crying with like her eyes closed and she kept mumbling your name, she even shouted it once. We might transfer her to your cabin though."

"Why my cabin? I mean my cabin is fine but who would suggest for her to be put there?" I ask confused of what he said.

"Chiron was here a while ago, he was the one who told me to move her there. He told me that she's been sneaking out at night and sleeping with you. He was just turning a blind eye." He answers my question.

"WHAT?!" I almost shout, "That's not true." Although it was true.

He laughs at me and pats my back, "Don't worry bro, your secret's safe with me."

Annabeth's POV

"JUST KILL ME ALREADY! PLEASE!" I've been trying to make her kill me. But she's still not doing it. I already told her I didn't care anymore. I have to be with him again. For all I know I won't get hurt like this in Elysium.

"But are you really sure Annabeth? You can't give up. You still have a life out here, alive." She replies still with that menacing voice.

I start crying again, "I've been trying to convince you for three days, do I have tell you some more."

"Fine. Just tell him I still love him. He should have came back from me." She laughs one more time before a real dagger gets thrown on my chest. And I blackout.

Percy's POV

"Hey, dude wake up. Wake up."

"What? I was just taking a 5 minute break." I look up and see Jason standing beside me.

"Uhhh, more like a 5 hour break."

"WHAT?!"

"How long have you been waiting for her?" Jason asks me. He decided to stay a few weeks here.

"I don't know, two weeks?" I answer.

"Yeah dude, just because you're engaged and you're making all these wedding plans. Now Annabeth's in this coma or something. Doesn't mean that you're exempted from camp activities."

"When did you become so demanding."

He laughs, "I'm just kidding with you bro, but seriously though, Chiron sent me and if--" he was interrupted by Annabeth sprouting back to life.

"PERCY! You're here!" She hugged me and started crying.

"Umm, I'll call Will, I'll be back," Jason says, obviously feeling awkward.

She cries on my shoulder for a while and whispers in my ear, "So this is the feeling to be dead huh?"

"Annabeth? We're not dead yet," I reply looking straight at her eyes again, "We're still here, we're alive. You've been asleep for 2 weeks."

"But you were dead! I was holding you. And it's only been three days!"

"When you collapsed, Hecate tried to remove the magic in your head, she said it was already as strong as hers. She also said that someone made you think that we were all dead."

She cries some more, "Well that someone told me to tell you that she still loves you. You should have came back."

"Calypso." How did she learn magic? And when did she escape Ogygia?

I put my hands on her face and kissed her forehead. Then I hold her hands, "Don't worry, everything is going to be okay. As long as we're together."
