***About half an hour later, when she has some standard clothing on***

Kindia's P.O.V

Gaara helped me to my feet once I was dressed. I walked around the room until I was certain I could walk properly.

“Do you want to see the others?” he asked.

“I'm happy with you,” I said, giving him a hug.

“As am I,” he said softly.

We sat down on his bed, and he held me against his chest.

“You had me frightened out of my wits back there,” he said into my hair. I grinned.

“Wasn't my fault.”

“Never said it was, but I don't think Kala is to blame either,” he said.

I disagree. It's all my fault.

Listen to Gaara. He knows what he's on about.

Fine.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

“Who is it?” Gaara called out.

“Tiera,” she replied.

“Come in.” She stepped into the room, and grinned when she saw me.

“Someone healed up quick.”

“I guess,” I shrugged.

“Dinner is only a little while away. Are both of you coming?” she asked. Gaara and I glanced at each other.

“Sure. We'll be there soon,” I smiled at her. She nodded, and left.

Gaara pulled me close.

“It's a good thing you are ok today, rather than tomorrow,” he whispered into my ear.

“Why?” I frowned.

“You don't know what day it is?” he frowned back at me.

“No.”

“It's your 19th birthday, silly. How could you not know?”

I thought about it for a moment.

“The past days have been blurred. I lost track of what day it is,” I sighed. He wrapped his arms around my waist.
