Waterlily sighed. It was a moonlit night and almost midnight. But something didn't feel right. She shifted uncomfortably and looked around. She swore she saw bushes rattling by the lake a few meters away. She took a deep breath, hoped it wasn't a fire type, and walked over to the bushes. "Boo!" A small Eevee yelled. Waterlily jumped back in shock and put her paw to her chest. "Cookie! You scared the crap out of me!" She yelled, gently swiping at the Eevee. "It's so late. What are you doing awake?" Waterlily asked. "I thought I saw Shadow, so I came to investigate!" The little Eevee said, already trying to catch Waterlily's tail. "Okay, okay. Well, I don't see him. Besides, why are you so interested if he was awake and near the lake?" She asked. "Oh, well, um... Shadow..." Cookie stuttered (Cookie knows about Shadow liking her and was here to see if he would confess). "Well, get to bed. Now, please." Waterlily said. "Alright, fine..." Cookie mumbled, running off. "What would Shadow want that's near the lake?" She mumbled to herself, looking around. She eventually gave up her thought and curled up, ready for morning.
