Safe At Last

(Shadow's POV)

Shadow did not feel Waterlily pull away or looked at him, shocked. She smiled instead. Shadow released his grip. "I-I'm sorry..." He apologized. "No, no. It's okay. I'm so glad your here." She said. Shadow smiled, wondering if she did love him. He started blushing. Waterlily just kept smiling at him. "I'm glad someone cared enough to find and rescue me." She added, brushing his tail with hers. Shadow felt as if he may die of joy. He smiled back warmly at her, and began walking out, motioning for her to follow. She followed rather quickly for a dehydrated Vaporeon, but he thought little of it. He didn't spot Dusk on the way out, though. Shadow's hopes and faith fell. "No, no, no..." He mumbled, looking at the spot again. He thought of why Espeons were worth anything, and then realized, the fur. Her fur was dark and rich. "Please, be safe. I have to save my sister." He said, choking down more tears. "O-okay...? Your sister? Oh my Arceus is she alright!? Could I help!?" She nearly shouted. They were now outside. "Run and be safe." He said. She sighed and ran into the woods. Shadow bolted back in the house, desperate to not be a complete failure and lead to his sister's death. He finally found them in a new room. "Hey, big bro! Almost done being a hero!?" Dusk asked her eagerly. Shadow sighed and unlocked cage. "Hey, Skitty! Look, I told you he'd come! I was right, wasn't I!?" Dusk said exitedly. "Skitty...?" Shadow asked. "Yeah, yeah, Dusk. You're right, I'm wrong! At least now we are free!" Skitty exclaimed, with her cage now open. "Miss me, Shadow?" Skitty asked teasingly. (This goes back in their history. Btw I'm going to start writing a story about Dusk and Miki, as they, Skitty, some of the fire types, and Shadow grow up. Skitty and Dusk and Shadow are basically long lost friends.). "Not that much. C'mon, quickly." Shadow said. But, they were stopped by Chad, Jack, and a female. "Go, Flygon!" Chad said, and a shiny Flygon appeared. "Hello, little things. My name is Sandstorm. Leaving so soon...?" The FLygon said. "Go, Charizard!" Jack yelled, and out came a shiny Charizard. "Introductions? My name is Sear." He said. "Alight, go Eevee!" the girl yelled, sending out a silver eevee similar to a Eevee Shadow'd seen a few times. A eevee named Windfall. "My name is Princess, and your doom." She said confidently. Dusk growled at the Flygon. "Skitty, get the Eevee. I'll handle Sandstrom, and Shadow, go get em, tiger!" Dusk said, launching herself at the Flygon's neck. The Flygon recoiled, but too late. Dusk's sharp teeth dug into his long neck, and blood dripped on the floor. Sandstorm roared in agony, falling backwards, swiping aimlessly at Dusk. Shadow leaped and latched onto the Charizard's leg. Blood spilled, and Shadow let go, and then tackled Sear as hard as he could. The Charizard fell, and Shadow bit onto its neck. Skitty then tackled the Eevee, biting into it's ear. The eevee yelled in agony, fear, and distress. The female threw skitty of Princess, and made her return to her Pokeball. Skitty wiped the blood off her teeth. The Flygon had fainted and Chad quickly returned it before it could bleed any more. Jack did the same. Shadow growled and used Shadow Ball, sending Chad, Jack, and the Female backwards. The three ran outside, tired and out of breath, and covered in their foe's blood.
