Waterlily woke up when the sun was high, the sun hitting the surface of her pond and reflecting into her eyes. She yawned and stretched, looking around. She saw Storm in the distance, scolding her brother, Thunder, as usual. She walked over to them, smiling. Thunder gave her a teasing smile and a small shock. Waterlily gave him a quick growl, and Storm hit him over the head with her tail. "Ow!" Thunder yelled, playfully tackling his sister. Waterlily laughed and then saw Cookie approaching. "Oh no..." Waterlily said playfully, rolling her eyes, and avoiding the fast Eevee's tackle, making her knock both Storm and Thunder down. They played and tackled each other. Waterlily smiled and watched them. She suddenly heard faint yelling. Waterlily got up fast and noticed that no one else had noticed. Waterlily ran towards the sound when she saw Shade and Shadow. "You Idiot!" Shadow yelled, but when he saw Waterlily he froze. "What are you two doing!?" She commanded, stopping both Umbreon in their tracks. "Don't ever threaten Cookie again..." Shade said, walking away. Shadow just stood there, backing up slowly, and then running off.
(Shadow's POV)
She'll never like me now. I have no chance. I'm such a fool! I-I'm useless.... Shadow thought, near crying, alone in his cave.
