Strike (Blood Warning)

(Shadow's POV)

They were heading to the Jolteons. The Jolteons lived in an abandoned Electricity Plant, and it was dangerous. However, their queen and the jolteons, in general, weren't that dangerous. They were running towards the plant, having fun. Skitty and Dusk were having some kind of race, Crystal and Scarlet were racing as well, and Waterlily was looking at the scenery, smiling. Shadow's gaze just froze on Waterlily. They reached the plant. On patrol was one single Jolteon. The same one Shadow rescued. Strike. Strike instantly growled at them, but stopped when he saw Shadow. "What do you want?" He asked. "We want to explore and learn for ourselves about the tribes and their kingdoms," Skitty said boldly. Dusk nodded. Strike growled. "You are not permitted to do that. Leave or else I will have to attack." He said. "Yes, we are, actually. Your queen allows visitors." Scarlet said, her teeth visible. Strike growled and without warning, leaped onto Scarlet. Scarlet was pinned down, but sank her claws into his legs and bit hard into his shoulder. Strike yelled and agony and stumbled off of her. Two streams of blood trickled out of his shoulder. Strike yelled in pain again. He jumped on Scarlet, tearing into her shoulder. Scarlet yelled in fury and agony and shoved him off o her. Everyone else was frozen in shock and fear. Strike was screaming in pain, clawing furiously at his shoulder where she bit him. He was clawing off own his fur and skin. Blood was everywhere. Skitty and Dusk screamed in fear. Where the fur was gone, his veins were turning black. Scarlet jumped away from him. An Espeon approached. Shadow recognized her as Miki. The Espeon rushed over to Strike, in tears. She hugged him as Strike collapsed. Strike was coughing terribly. Scarlet's face twisted in horror, as she rushed over to him. "I-I don't... I don't know, I don't know!" She said frantically, her fur shifting to a lime, terrified green. Miki was crying and snuggling with Strike's now dead body. Scarlet jumped away from the body. Miki growled at them, her once beautiful violet were now red with rage. She jumped on Scarlet and ripped further into her shoulder. Scarlet growled and threw her off of her. She opened her mouth, showing her now oddly-shaped fangs off. Dusk gasped; "Their like snake fangs...!" She said, astonished but her voice was stricken with fear. Miki launched onto Skitty, tearing her teeth into her ear. Skitty cried out in pain, and used Swift. The stars missed, but Miki let go of Skitty. Dusk pulled her friend close, snarling. Crystal suddenly leapt on  Miki, and her ragged claws dug into the Espeons face. Miki cried out, but didn't back down, her eyes still full of fury. Miki's eye was severely punctured and bleeding. Crystal tried to bite the Espeons neck, but Miki beat her to it. She bit down hard on Crystal's neck, and Crystal shoved her aimlessly away, unable to breathe. Scarlet had passed out from the blood loss and pain. Waterlily suddenly leapt into action, swiping Miki with her claws. Miki roared in fury and pain, and let go of Crystal, who gasped for breath, her neck dripping with blood. Waterlily grabbed Miki's neck, but then let go quickly, and shoved the raging espeon away from her. "Stop! Please!" Waterlily cried. "Never!" Miki yelled back, growling ferociously. Miki was now covered in blood, both in her own and Strike's, Skitty's, Crystal's, and Scarlet's. Miki was about to jump onto Waterlily when Shadow rammed hard into her. He growled at her, pinning her down. "I know you want to avenge him. But hurting these innocent Pokemon, attemping to hurt Waterlily, will not be allowed!" He snarled. Miki tried to bite at his legs, and Shadow growled at her. With a quick movement, he snapped Miki's neck. Miki's body layed there, lifeless. Scarlet was still unconscious, Skitty was curled up with Dusk, part of her ear torn off in a bloody mess, Crystal was breathing heavily, and Waterlily was staring, shocked and scared. Shadow fell into a heap of sadness and dispair, teary eyed. Waterlily leaned against Shadow's shoulder, and sighed.  "You did what you needed to... thank you." She said. Shadow felt the weight lift off. He sighed, tears stuck in his throat. "Wait," He said. "Waterlily, what if no good comes out of this? What if we don't even make it home alive? You saw what they did. I should just send Scarlet and Dusk home and let Skitty go with them, and let Crystal sneak home. My stupid idea almost got us all killed. And worst of all, I was too scared to help..." Shadow croaked. Waterlily hugged him. "It's alright, I promise. It'll be alright." She said. She let go, and Shadow felt as if Arceus was smiling upon him. Shadow sighed. 

(Okay so sorry I've been like not posting. But cliffhanger! Yeah. Isn't it wierd that the Pokemon who were captured died? That was truely not my original idea. Okay, so they will be treated and stuff next chapter. Cya!)
