Short Summary: Anna is hiding shit (face it, everybody is hiding shit), Hannah is nice, and dafuq is Gabriel doing?

------

Anna and Castiel roamed the halls, glancing at the elegant decor and artwork engraved and placed in the castle. Anna had not visited the castle for more than a year, and always liked to familiarize herself with the castle when she was there.

"Does this place ever change?" Anna asked, her eyes skimming over the old family portraits. "Even these are still here."

Castiel looked upon the faces of his long-gone elder brothers. "I suppose, physically, the castle doesn't change very much. Maybe my father likes to remember."

Anna shrugged. "Who knows? No one ever quite understands the King."

She turned away from the paintings and the two continued to wander along. "I heard that Balthazar visited earlier, how is he?"

"Well," Castiel answered. Remembering Balthazar's visit only made Castiel feel guilty over the fact that he hadn't told Anna about the fact that he was in a relationship with a half-dragon; but he doubted that even Anna, as outrageously open-minded as she was, would be very accepting of the news.

"Well?" Anna questioned. "Be more elaborate, Castiel."

"It-it went well, I don't know how else to describe it. He gave me two wooden figurines and we talked a bit," Castiel recalled.

"Talked a bit about what?" Anna was looking up at the painted domes that made up the ceiling, looking distracted, but Castiel knew she was paying very careful attention to what he was saying.

"I had a...personal issue, and he helped me."

Her eyes gave him a side glance as they walked. "Hmm. He's still as obnoxious as he was before?"

Castiel let out a laugh. "He has not changed, Balthazar is the same as he ever was."

Anna gave him a smile before turning stoic. "You remember what I spoke to you about before? About staying true to yourself?"

The Prince nodded. "Yes, I remember. And I will. I'll try my best to stay as I am, even if I do become king."

"Good," Anna smiled, standing still and looking at their surroundings. Castiel wondered what Anna was looking for until the moment she brought him into her arms and rubbed his head until his hair was all astray.

"Sneaky," Castiel laughed as he tried to pay down the rebellious strands of hair back to their earlier position.

"No one will notice it's any different, your hair is always wild," Anna grinned.

"Is it? I never noticed," Castiel chuckled as they continued to walk once more.

"By the way, where is Gabriel? I haven't had the chance to speak with him since I arrived, and I can't seem to find him."

Castiel struggled to remember when he'd last seen his brother earlier that day, only recalling when they were together for breakfast. Gabriel had been going off on his own recently, Castiel was beginning to notice, but his younger brother still wouldn't tell him about what was going on with him.
