Chapter 14

"Wh-why's it so cold here..." Ally shivered as she trudged through deep snow. She's already established that she was at one of the poles, taken the fact that there was a lot of snow, and there were now houses in sight. She remembered that her mom always told her never to go out flying in snow storms, or her wings would freeze. She trudged around for what felt like days which only happened to be minutes, then eventually turned to an hour. An hour later, the snow had stopped, and the sun was shining. She got a wobbly running start and took off, flying as fast as she could up to see if she could get to land that's not a giant iceberg. She was suddenly aware of someone following her, so she stopped in her tracks and turned around, but was surrounded by darkness.

"Who's there?!?!?" Ally called, then she saw her brother, "Alex! Alex it's me!!" But to her dismay, he flew up to her and punched her in the face. Tears ran down her cheeks as she stared at him with a horrified look. She shook it off and flew right through the bubble of darkness, and she flew as fast as her wings could carry her to get away from the evil clone of her twin.

"Where in the world is everyone else..." Max groaned as she, Gazzy, and Iggy continued to fly as fast as they could away from Angel II, Gazzy II, and Amalda II.

"I don't know, but our best bet could be to head to the states." Gazzy called. So they headed east towards California.

"Wait, Iggy, where were you?"

"I was in Hawaii. At least that's where I woke up..." Iggy scratched the back of his neck.

"Aw man, I would've preferred to wake up there... I was in CHINA..." Gazzy pouted.

"Guys, no stopping. Keep going." Max reminded them. She peeked back and could still see the clones far behind them.

"But I feel like my wings could fall off any second now..." Gazzy huffed.

"Me too." Iggy agreed.

"Your life kind of depends on this." Max put her hands on her hips, then pointed a finger at them, "so no stopping."

Suddenly, before she knew it, a huge burst of light shone from her finger. Gazzy looked away and shrieked,

"What the heck is that?!?!"

"What?! Where's that coming from?!" Max gasped. She moved her hands around, but the light followed her hand. She looked at her hands and saw that now they were both glowing with extremely bright light.

"What's happening?" Iggy asked, not noticing the blinding light, because he's already blind...

"Turn that off, Max!!!" Gazzy shrieked.

"I-I don't know how!" Max replied all panicky. She looked up to see the three clones flying up to them, "but I do know how to get rid of these three once and for all! They're not the only ones with powers now!"

Max flew past the two with her hands out. She looked down at them, clenched her fists, and closed her eyes. The lights went out, and the three clones started flying rapidly towards her. Suddenly, in a flash, right before they could get any closer, Max opened her eyes which almost seemed to be glowing, threw out her hands in front of her, towards the clones, and a huge burst of light was shot towards them, blinding them and burning them. Max smiled at her handiwork as she flew up to the three and easily fought them.

"Gaz! Ig! They're vulnerable! Get them!" Max ordered, and they didn't have to be told twice. Iggy fought off Angel, Gazzy fought off himself, and Max fought off Amalda.
