“Jade!” Nica called her.

She turns around after closing her shop. “Yes?”

“Are you free tonight?”

“Uhm, I think not…”

“Not again!” she said in a wide eye, as she always did whenever she’s asking me if “I’m free tonight?” because it’s always end up… “Gosh! It is still him…”

Nagging. That I just used to because for almost ten years of my life since I tell her about this guy that I’d just met from a corner of the street near to our school. She started being so rude about it!

Finally, I can breathe fine now. “Leonard, I’m glad you came!”

“Yeah! And I think that your best friend slash lovely cousin nagging at you tremendously.”

“Yeah, your right about that!” I just agreed and I saw how Nica got piss.

“Oh, come on you two! Not again!”

“What?” we both asked in duet that I knew she pisses much, but I know my cousin so well. It won’t ruin our relationship just because of that nonsense thing!

“What ever!” Nica said then turns to her boyfriend. “Why you’ve always comes out whenever I’m talking with my cousin?” she asked a little bit piss but more than that, I knew she’s a bit sorry for what she just said to me.

Well, I already have forgiven her… as always. So, I make a sincere smile to her.

“Hay! Alright! I’m sorry, Jade!” she stares back at me and without a word from Leonard I knew that’s what he said to Nica. Just say sorry and things would be fine.

“I forgive you and now, you two! Please, go on now and have your date! I don’t want to ruin you night so please, live me!” I said while waving my right hand.

“Hon, she’ll be fine! Right, Jade?” Leonard cuts Nica.

I smiles. “Yeah! Of course! I will!” and after that, they didn’t stay much longer. They just left me behind and I… well, I’m waiting for him. My boyfriend…

“What’s the problem, Jade?” he asked and I heard from his voice that his worried. “Are there something bothering you?”

I stare at his eyes, those blueing eyes that can read deep down to my soul that I hardly to resist not to look at it intently. Oh! How I love those eyes of his! Even in a thousand times, I won’t get tired looking and staring on it. Ever!

“Nothing!” then added it with a smile.

He sighs deeply and I guest it, he knew that I’m lying.

“I knew that much, Jade! And a simple word like that and added with a simple smile. I knew that you were lying.” He seriously said it.

Well, I couldn’t blame him. He really does know me well!

“I’m just wondering…” I started. “What if you meet my cousin?” I seriously asked him and he stares at me blankly. That scares me, though.

He sighs. “I know it may come this day.” He said. “The truth… I want to meet not only your cousin. But also your whole family and friends…”

“Besides, we’ve been together for ten years and since then, I still didn’t meet up any of you families. That I know made you sad,” and he hold my hands so lightly and firm. That gives me warm deep in my soul, oh, how ironic! I always wanting it since the day I met him! It isn’t that his not holding my hands like this, but this day is so different from those!

“What?!” almost shouting, that’s Nica’s reaction. And as I see to it, she’s seems a little bit ease rather than excited.

“What’s on the look?” I couldn’t stop not to speak of it.

“What?!” she asked in a wide eye.

“You’re not excited,” I said.

“Then, what’s on my look?”

“You look an ease…” I answered. “As if you were not excited to meet him…?” I said in a sullen tone. Well, I just did it just to make her feel guilty about my boyfriend’s issue.

“Hay! Jade! Jade!” she said while shaking its head. “You knew that all my excitements were gone due to the longest time of waiting for him to finally meet him. So, all I can give to you is this expression. And I…” she pointed me with her finger. “Couldn’t change it even if I finally met him…! Okay?!” she said in a final tone.

That I couldn’t do anything but to agree with a smile. Oh! How I wish she treat my boyfriend with discreet! So that he won’t get anxious in front of her…

Clueless of what would be the outcome of meeting him with my family. Still, I am hoping… this would be a great thing to start a new with my beloved family. And I hope soon, I’ll meet his family too…
