-The Bride-

With my cherry lipstick and light teacup dress, I faced the full size mirror at the room I'm staying.

Today is the best day of my life. Larry finally proposed to me. And from this day on, I'll be Grace Anderson (larry's surname).

I excitedly bun my hair in a messy but stylish way. Of course, I don't wanna be an ugly bride!

As I finish my last touch of perfume, I check my watch to be sure not to be late.

11:49pm

Not bad. My cottage is quite far but not too much from the venue where I promise to come back. I wonder what surprises he has in store for me.

"May 22, 1789." I unconsiously chant as my eyes saw the date today.

This is it. Everything changes now.

I hurried back to where I left Larry with a huge smile in my lips. My heart is racing fast not with the exhaustion from running but with excitement and anticipation.

No. I'm honestly nervous.

Nervous for a reason I cannot explain. It feels like there is something that is about to happen outside my expectation. Opposite of my expectation. Something I wish not to happen.

As I was reaching my destination, my feet lose its pace and suddenly halt without my permission. My heart keeps on pounding and yelling, saying not to continue where I should go. To stop where I want to go.

The once cool breeze began to force its icy wind on me, emphasizing my hunch of what's about to happen.

'But Larry's waiting.' my heart spoke.

I'm almost half way from the shore where Larry is. I can see him from here. But from his perspective I think it will be hard for him to see me since the other cottages are blocking my existance.

I saw small candle lights form a path way that ends to a small table with a man dress in priest clothes and other three holding a violin and a woman in white and shade of red dress. All of them are wearing the same color expect for one man wearing a black touxedo.

I can't clearly see their faces because they're all facing the altar that I assumed but their body structure is enough for me to distinguish which one is Larry.

11:55pm

My clock ticks as I glance to see how much time I have before being his wife.

I don't know why he wants me now but I don't honestly care. All I know is that, I won't trade this chance for anything in this world.

I took a deep breath and release all doubts my mind can create. I hold my heart for a second and prayed to the Almighty to bless my decision and finally, I took one step forward showing my existance.

No head turns to notice. Okay? Another step and same response. Another one and all I get are  heads straight on the altar. Or rather in the sea.

This is getting creepy.

As I was about to back down and hide again behind the cottages, Larry suddenly but slowly turn his head around. A sigh of relief escape from me and immediately I ran towards them.

"Larry!" I called and rush down but as I saw his face with his most sincere smile. My body automatically stops.

Not because of the butterflies in my stomach or the joy and excitement I felt a while ago. I think stop is an understatement to. My body literally froze as I saw Larry head turned backwards from his neck 180 degrees. The priest, the violinist turned their heads like Larry's, too!
