ShanksxReader Death Cramps

WARNING: This is about being on your period, so if ya don't like, then don't read.

(Y/N) POV

I groaned in pain and rolled to the side, hugging my stomach. "Fuuuckkkkk" I whined. I slowly got up, knowing I couldn't just lay down all day. I got on some sweatpants and a baggy sweatshirt, to lazy and in to much pain to care. I sat back down on my bed, hurting to much to move.

"Forget it." I mumbled to myself. "I'm going back to bed, I'm in too much pain."

After about an hour of rolling around in pain I fell asleep.

*short timeskip*

I woke up with a weird feeling. "What the hell?" I sat up and realized.. I bled through "God damn it!" I yelled. I grabbed some clean clothes and a pad and went to the bathroom to take a shower. "This day can't get any worse." I mumbled. I absolutely hate being on my period. It was always such a pain. And I always got such bad cramps. I swear, I get death cramps. I took a shower and changed into my clean clothes. Now to fix my bed. I slowly made my way back to my room, all I wanted was to curl up in a corner and not move till my cramps went away.

I got to my room and threw off the bloody bedding, putting it in my laundry basket and grabbed clean bedding and threw it down. Before I did anything else, I had to take some aspirin or something, or else I wouldn't be able to stand much longer. 

I slowly made my way to the kitchen, I grabbed the medicine, a glass of water and an apple. I sat down at the table and groaned in pain again, but I was a bit relieved to be able to sit. I took some aspirin and laid my head on the table to block out the light.

"(Y/n)? Are you alright."

I looked up. "Oh, Shanks, yeah sure, just in a bit of pain." As I said that the pain got worse making me groan again.

He looked at me with a concerned face. "Are you sure? That doesn't seem like a bit."

I put my head back on the table. "It's not a bit. I have freaking death cramps. It hurts like a bitch."

He came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

I shook my head. "Nope. I just gotta wait a few more days and it'll be gone."

"Why don't you go lay down and rest." He offered.

I looked at the red head. "Are you sure, Shanks?"

He nodded and smiled at me. "Of course, it's fine."

I gave him a small smile to say thanks and began to stand up, almost falling in the process.

"(Y/n)! Let me help you to your room." He picked me up bridal style.

"S-Shanks, it's fine, r-really I can make it!" I said, slightly embarrassed with my captain carrying me.

"Nonsense! Your obviously in a lot of pain, and you seem pretty tired. I told you to rest so therefor I'll help you get to your room." He said and headed for my room. "I'm sorry your in so much pain." He said.

"It's fine. This happens every time." I said quietly.

We got to my room and he set me in my chair. "Stay here for a minute." He said and headed for my bed.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Making your bed." He replied.  Oh yeah, I hadn't finished making my bed. Damn death cramps. I can't do anything when I'm on my period.

He finished making my bed and picked me up. He gently placed me on my bed. "Are you comfortable?" He asked.

"Oh Shanks, your sweet to ask, but with these death cramps there is no such thing as feeling comfortable." I replied curling into a ball. I felt the bed dip.

"I'm sorry (Y/n), I wish I could help." He said. He started to rub circles on my back.

"It's ok Shanks, thanks for helping me." I rolled over and curled up next to him, he continued to rub my back until I fell asleep. Although right before I fell asleep, I felt him lean over and kiss my forehead when he thought I was sleeping.

A/n: Omggg I fucking hate being on my period. Why can't I have a guy like Shanks. I literally do get death cramps. I almost fell over in choir today from the pain. It feels like I'm being stabbed repeatedly very violently. Ughhhhh. I wanna go back to my dads house, he bought me white chocolate kit kats when I had cramps over the weekend. Why must we go through this shit once a month?
