SanjixReader Modern: Work

(Y/n) POV 

I sighed and opened my front door. My boss called me at last minute and told me he needed me to come into work today. I waled out the door and walked to work. I plugged in my headphones to listen to music on my walk. I finally got to work, I worked at Baratie a famous restaurant. I was a waitress there, I often got called in on my days off since we didn't have many waiters or waitresses. I walked in and went to the back to grab a pencil and pad of paper. I started to take orders, business started out slow but quickly more people began to come. I started to struggle to keep up,  I noticed that I was the only waitress. I went into the kitchen to find my boss Zeff. 

"Zeff! I need someone out here to help me! I can't keep up!"

Sanji came up to me and took off his apron "Don't worry (Y/n)-chan. I'll come help you."

I looked up at the tall man "Are you sure Sanji? Don't you have to cook?"

He smiled "It's fine, they can handle the cooking. I'll come help you wait tables."

"Thank you Sanji!"

*timeskip to after a long ass day at work*

I sat down at a table and threw the pad of paper and the pencil on the table. "God my feet hurt." I complained to myself.

"What would my lovely (Y/n)-chan like?"

I looked up to see Sanji. "What are you doing Sanji? We're closed and also, I work here."

He smiled "You've worked hard. It's on the house. I'll make you what ever you want."

I smiled back at him "Thank you Sanji, just some coffee would be nice."

"Are you sure? I didn't see you eat anything. Did you even take a break at all today?" His eyes looked so caring. It made me blush.

"I'm sure. I'm not hungry. Just tired and ready to go home and get off my feet."

"Ok, I'll be back in a minute with the coffee."

He went off the the kitchen to make me a coffee. Sanji was so nice, he was always caring.

He came back with a hot coffee, it had whipped cream on the top with chocolate sauce. I blushed "Sanji you didn't have to make such a fancy coffee! I would have been just fine with a normal coffee."

He smiled and handed it to me. "You deserve it. You worked hard." He paused "Did you walk here?"

I sighed "Yeah, my car broke down and it's still being worked on right now. So I had to walk here."

"Let me drive you home. Please, you said your feet hurt right?"

"A-are you sure? It won't be too much trouble will it?"

He smiled and offered his hand to me "Of course not. I insist."

I took his hand making me blush more. "Ok then. T-thank you."

"Anything for you m'lady."

Sanji took me out to his car, still holding my hand. He opened up the door for me and I stepped in and thanked him again. He got in.

"I really appreciate this Sanji, but you know you don't have too." 

He smiled "I know, but I wouldn't be a gentleman if I allowed a lady to walk home with sore feet."

I blushed "O-ok. Thank you."

We talked on the way, it was actually a lot of fun. Sanji was so kind and he was also quite funny. We got to my house and I looked at him "Would you like to come in and have a drink?"

He smiled "I would love to, but I have to get back and help the old man. I'm sorry, would you like to go have dinner with me tomorrow to make up for it."

I blushed "S-sure. I-i'd love too."

"I'll pick you up at 6." He smiled "Come here really quick."

My heart sped up as I leaned closer to Sanji. He put his hand behind my head and pulled me into him. When I realized what he was doing I closed my eyes. I felt his soft lips on mine, my heart was beating so fast.  He pulled away and smiled "I can't wait for tomorrow."

I blushed "Me either." I waved at him while he drove away with a blush still on my face."

A/n: So sorry about my lack of updating! I've had testing and I've been running out of one shot ideas. I don't think I;m going to be updating everyday anymore, I have been trying but I have been failing. I am really sorry and I hope you understand. But I will update as much as possible. Love ya all!
