I woke early, 5am to be precise.
To pass the time, I got dressed, did my usual routine in preparations for the exam.
“Migome!” My mum called, I scowled at the sound of her voice. I turned and glared at her, I was so close to the door!
“What?” I asked in monotone as she stopped in front of me,
“I just wanted to wish you good luck.” She tilted her head to the side and grinned, her dark hair shimmering in the light,
“Thanks, I guess.” I murmured as I opened the door,
“Just be careful!” She added as I closed the door in her face. I rolled my eyes as I walked down the pathway which led out of the Uchiha compound. That’s right. My mother and I own the whole Uchiha compound. It’s not as great as you’d think actually.
As I walked down the deserted streets, I grimaced at the weeds that littered the flower beds. Well, not really flower beds anymore, all of the flowers in the compound died off long ago because of the lack of care that my mother and I had failed to provide.
I paused when I heard a feint giggle. I narrowed my eyes and spun around, expecting to see an intruder. Suspicion entered my being as there was no sign of life around me. I turned forward and sighed,
“Must’ve been the breeze.” I took a few more steps, but stopped again when there was another giggle, this time louder. I spun around, just in time to see a small girl disappear behind a tree. I growled and stormed over,
“Hey brat!” I snapped as I approached the tree, “Get out! Your trespassing!” I was stunned when I looked behind the tree and no one was there, “I swear that a little girl just…” I trailed off when there was another giggle,
“Over here!” I heard a child voice call, I slowly turned my head only to see nobody. By this time, I was starting to feel a little nervous.
I swallowed loudly when there was a tug on my long hair, my eyes travelled down and, surprise surprise, nobody was there.
I quickly started to speed walk out of the compound. What REALLY freaked me out was that, as I was walking, there was another set of footsteps behind me, a little quicker, like a child struggling to keep up with their parent.
“Shit. Shit. Shit.” I cursed as I bolted to the exit. As soon as I took a step out of the large gate, the footsteps stopped. I blinked and shook my head, “That doesn’t freak me out at all…” I murmured as I turned to face the rest of Konaha.

“Alright!” Iruka yelled to the class, “I will call out the name of the first student who is to report outside to the physical exam.” I sighed and waited as one after another, the students left the room, only to come back with red faces.
“Uzumaki Haru!” On the other side of the room, there was a commotion. Just as it finished, Haru shot up with red eyes and a large red mark in the middle of his head,
“He slept?” I muttered to myself,
“You’re up next.” Haru nodded sleepily and plodded down the steps,
“They screwed up the roll again…” I muttered moodily as I sat back, “Such a pain.” I sighed and shook my head wearily, “Sensei!” I rose my hand,
“Hm?” Iruka looked at me, “Yes? What is it?” I stared at him,
“Uchiha goes before Uzumaki.” Iruka blinked, looked down at the list, then looked back up at me with a slightly red face,
