I waited as the others started moving towards their positions. Nathan stayed in the car. Asher and Bella stood on the stairs on opposite sides. Yeah, I know. Lana's house is that big. Anyway, Shane went to drag Lucy and Lana to the stage and Zoey went to play with the speakers. Before they all left me at the entrance of the house they all said good luck. How awesome are they?
"I'm connected to the servers. Zoey, how far are you?" Nathan spoke through the earpiece.
"Just a second... okay. Done. The volume is loud enough. Arielle, you're all good," Zoey said while fiddling with something in the background.
"Okay. Asher and Bella. You good?" I asked as quietly as possible.
"Yeah," Asher answered shortly after.
"We're perfect! Awesome angles to watch a concert if you ask me," Bella answered enthusiastically. This girl sometimes...
"Shane, how about you?" I asked again.
"I'm good. Right now, they are bickering about who I like most close to the stage so that's your cue," he whispered into the earpiece, trying not to grab their attention again. "Good luck Angel..." he whispered once more before leaving the conversation. Really? Why won't he just not? This guy is way too nice, it's crazy how much I like him. Okay, wait what? Did I just say that? Ok, I need to get myself in check. Here goes nothing...
I stood at the huge door and pushed it open with both hands for a more dramatic effect. "Excuse me!" I shouted into the house. Thank Nathan and Zoey for the microphone and speakers. Everybody turned their gaze towards the door.
"What's wrong guys? See a ghost?" I ask sweetly as I make my way to the centre of the huge living room. "Did you think I'd miss Lana's and Markus' awesome party? Oh come on... Nobody is stupid enough to do that!" I said and laughed lightly. These guys are horrified.
"What are you doing at MY house!? Nobody ordered slut on the menu did they?" Lana retorted. Her remark stings but I hide my feelings.
"Oh, did no one tell you? Shame... I came to make an appearance while looking good at it too. I don't know about you guys but I totally think I'm rocking this," I gestured towards my dress. A few wolf whistles were heard in the back ground. Yeah, boys, stare real good. You can look, not touch.
"You see, I've really hated the way you've been crushing my spirits lately. I've always avoided you but apparently you want to destroy me that much so here's a little, how can I say, proposition for you. You know the school concert right? We sing, dance or do whatever we think we do best. So how about a little singing competition. If I win, you and your brother will suffer public humiliation by me AND the bullying stops completely." I said as I stood a few metres away from her. Hope I'm not digging my grave right now.
"Oh and if I win? You forgot that little part where you can't sing... or do anything for that matter. You're only useful for selling your body and you're not that sexy anyway," she said with a smirk to her face.
''So you admit that I am sexy? Huh, to think that she wasn't blind,'' I pretend to whisper to some girl next to me. She laughs a little.
''Shut up, bitch!''
"Oh darling... poor, poor Lana. You have no idea who you're dealing with," I chuckled and walked away from her towards the stage, a cue for Nathan to play my song. He better not screw this up.
"Get out of my house you maniac! Where the hell are you going?!" She screamed like a mad woman.
The music started and I walked up the stairs. People moved past as I climbed to the top. She stared at me like her worst nightmare was coming true. "DJ! Shut that thing off! This bitch will not strip on my stage!"
