It's finally Friday, which means I get to not see Luke's face until Monday, which means no awkward moments. I went for a jog in the morning, surprisingly, I didn't bump into anyone, yet. No tripping today, I kept repeating in my head while running around the park.
Before I went on my second round, I saw Luke, For f***s sake, WHY?
I was trying to avoid him, but before I could even notice, it wasn't hi-
GREAT. "Sorry" I said not caring about who I bumped into and continued running.
"Not you again.." He said in a sad tone, okay, now I'm confused, very actually. Before I could stop myself I turned to him and stared for him for moments that felt like years. His face was full of scars, his lips were ripped, he had a black eye. What happened?
"Are you alright?" I asked worried.
"Why do you care?" he said coldly.
"Okay, I was worried, but I guess that's none of my business, have a good day" I said offended and continued running.
"Sorry Nellie." he whispered loud enough for me to hear, why do I care? I don't know, it feels weird.

I've never wanted the weekend to pass so slowly as I wanted it to right now, today is Monday, why?
I didn't feel like looking at all those people, and their cruel face expressions or their smirks and stupid grins, I hated the fact that I got to see the same faces every day, every week, for nine months, it's such a pain.
The day at school passed as any other day, except slower and the boredom increases. Ain't I the luckiest person on this Earth, no. Why? Because someone I really don't wanna see is coming over. Who? Luke Jackson.
My mom on the other hand, was fast asleep, lucky. I informed Noah that I'll spend the day outside, and like I expected, he didn't care. Before I could escape, Luke knocked on the door when I was about to open it. GREAT.
"Noah is upstairs." I said.
"Oh okay, but I really wanna tell you something." he said with a sad expression on his face.
"I don't think-"
"I'm sorry," he paused for a millisecond, collecting his words, "I didn't mean anything I told you and I am just so f***ed up, I don't want you to think I'm trying to bully you or anything, but I'm sincerely sorry, if you could just forgive me a-and forget about everything."
I was surprised, very very surprised, I stared at him, confused. Why is he apologizing?
Instead of speaking I extended my hand for a handshake, but he grabbed me into a hug. I don't know why, but I am very confused.
"Thanks a lot." he said pulling away, I shrugged and he just grinned. "I better go, au revoir." he said
"Yeah, have a great day, I guess" I said before walking away.
"Oh and one more thing" he said.
"Yes?"
"Will you, I mean, will you go out with me?" he asked hesitatingly.
"You want me to go out with you?" I gasped.
"Yeah, you can say n-"
"No, no its not that, but like, why would you want go out with a nobody?"
"What are you saying? You're an amazing person!" he said with a smirk.
Double confused, wow, to much to take in, no way. Maybe, just maybe, he isn't that bad after all.
"I would love to!" I said excited.
Sometimes, not everything was meant to be, but maybe, this one was.
