I walked around my room, wondering what I should wear for tonight. I always wanted someone to help me, but growing up alone with a brother and a mom who isn't dress type, is a pain. I sighed in frustration, I actually just noticed I only have one hour left, I better hurry.
"Well, I guess I have to get ready by myself then." I said before entering my closet.
Staring at the mirror, I was literally practicing what to say, as if it was an interview. Nellie, it's a date, chill, fun, no awkwardness. I'm wearing a floral dress that stops mid-thigh and white heels to match the tiny flowers on the dress. My hair is in a fancy braid, you know those wedding ones, yeah those.
After I finished getting ready, I headed to the front door waiting for Luke outside. A few moments passed, I saw a white BMW entering my drive way. Although Luke was underage to drive, he was still allowed to, I have no idea why. Struggling, I went down the stairs, but as I went down one step, Luke's figure was going out of his car, nice.
He looked good, handsome, one of a kind, amazing, and any good thing that exists on this planet. He was dressed in a black tuxedo, why though? Too fancy.
He walked up to me, he has this perfect jawline, oh my goodness.
"Wow, you look amazing." he complimented.
"Oh well, I tried, but thank you, you don't look bad yourself." I said grinning.
"Shall we?" he asked extending his hand to me.
Holding his, or attempting too, I tripped over, because of course, heels aren't every girl's best friends. Before I landed on the ground, he caught me. I stood there, in his arms, it felt good, but I knew I had to get out of it.
"Whoa there, relax."
"Oh, I'm very sorry, I feel so stupid right now."
"Oh don't worry about it, so? lets go?"
"Yup." I said awkwardly.
After a long ride, that felt like hours, but was only half an hour, we reached a fancy restaurant. Luke has told me, his parents own it, actually, his parents are very well-known people here. Which means, I get where Luke gets all the expensive suits and fancy cars, his parents.
"Are you nervous?" I asked him curiously.
"No." he said.
"Oh well, that's a lie. But being honest here, I am"
"Yeah of course. I am." He admitted, "You know me too well"
"Better than you know me."
"Oh, I never noticed" he confessed
"Well, now you do, and I'm starving, can we go, now?" I complained
"YES!" he exclaimed excited.
When we entered the restaurant, there was a huge room full of tables and chairs and there was a door at the end that led to the kitchen. The walls were beige, or close, and there were lights around every corner. The tables were covered in a plain white cloth and the chairs were fancy looking and matching with the table, plain white. It kinda looked like a wedding ballroom, but in a restaurant version, and I really liked that.
"This place is really nice." I said
"Thanks to my uncle."
"Do you cook?"
"Indeed"
"OH, FUN!"
"Mmm, maybe one day, I'll cook for you"
"You better"
"Yes ma'am"
