He nodded at me and gulped. I shivered a bit. I was about to be under the same roof as my brother once more. A dauntless guard opened mine and Eric's door he stepped out but I waited a little longer and sat there trying to figure out what my plan was. I finally mustered the courage to leave the car then jumped out they shut the door.

"We will be waiting here when you are ready to leave, Ara."

I looked at the guard he knew my name. I looked back at him he kind of looked like my friend Uriah. He whispered to me, "my name is Zeke. I'm Uriah's brother. Four told me to keep an eye on you." I nodded and sighed in relief.

"Ara! Are you coming?!"

"Yes Eric!" I nodded at Zeke and ran after Eric.

"Did you know our guard?"

I bit my lip was he working for my brother or could I trust him. "Yeah he's a friend."

He nodded and then turned to the door. The doors opened and we walked in. Max was there waiting for Eric. "Ara, what a pleasant surprise I didn't know Eric was bringing you." I laughed softly, "he wasn't I came on my own accord I need to speak with Jeanine."

He glanced at Eric and then nodded towards some of his guard. "Escort Miss Ara to Jeanine's office." Eric's eyes widened as he strode up to Max, "but Max I told her she wouldn't leave my side."

He lifted his hand and Eric stopped talking. "I understand that Eric but we have business to discuss that she can't listen to. Faction leaders only. Sorry Eric she will be in safe hands."

He glanced back at me and I nodded.

"It's okay Eric they have my back."

He sighed and ran his hand through his hair then straightened up and pointed at the guards "if anybody looks suspicious and approaches her you don't let them touch her got it. Or I'll demote both of you. Got it!" The guards nodded their heads frantically. I rolled my eyes and started walking towards where Jeanine's office was they ran to catch up with and flanked my side to be honest I wasn't quite happy with my two guard dogs and I needed to lose them fast.

We had made it to the door of Jeanine's office I knocked on the door. As my guard dogs stood very close to me. I sighed and looked between them, "can you guys give me some space you're like smothering me!" Their eyes widened as they backed away from me. Even I was surprised by my sudden outburst. The door opened and my father was standing there.

"Willow?"

"Hi daddy." I smiled and wrapped my arms around his waist.

My father and I always had a great relationship.

"Mark? Who is at the door?" I heard Jeanine's voice.

My father turned his head towards her voice. "It's my daughter, Willow."

I started to step through the door and so did my guard dogs I really hoped my dad would stop them. "Guards, I'm her father nothing will happen to her, stand outside the door if you really want to protect her." They looked at him and began to argue. Not noticing Jeanine approaching.

"Gentlemen, you heard my assistant she's a former Erudite no harm will come to her understand?" She set her hand on my shoulder and smiled at them. They nodded and walked back out the doorway and shut the door.

Jeanine pulled her hand away and I turned around to face her.

"Now Willow..."

"Ma'am I actually changed my name to Ara." My father blinked but then smiled.

"I see. A very beautiful choice of a name. Now what brings you to Erudite?"

I shifted my weight and walked around her office. "You know how we read about the war before we existed here?"

"Yes go on?"

"Well I was wondering who was involved in the war, was it Divergents?"

She blinked and then collected herself. "Yes and no. The Divergents were involved in the war but it was the super soldiers that they allied with. They were called the Awakened." I gulped quietly and glanced at my father who smiled softly at me, I looked back at Jeanine. "What exactly are the Awakened, ma'am?"

I watched Jeanine stand up and walk around her desk and towards me. "The Awakened were ancient warriors. Even known as Assassins. They were super humans. We aren't entirely sure where they were trained how to fight like they do but It's as if something awakens inside of them. They are very powerful and very dangerous."

"Do you think there are any more of them out there?"

"That I do not know. If there are I would like to meet them and see how their brain works. How their mind works! It would be very fascinating to study them and see if maybe we could use them as super soldiers."

I nodded and shifted my weight even more. "Thank you ma'am. That is all." She nodded and looked down then looked back up. "Ara do tell me, did you know about the Awakened before I told you?" I gulped she's on to me oh man oh man I need to get out.

"Uh no ma'am how could I know?"

She nodded. "Are you sure?" I noticed my guard dogs were by my side. My father stood up in front of me. "That's enough, Jeanine she said she didn't know."

She sneered at me.

She knew I was lying.

"Of course, Mark. I can't wait to see you again, Ara."

I nodded and opened the door and we started to walk out. My father ran up to us. "Hurry get her out of here. Jeanine thinks something is up.."

"THERE SHE IS! GET HER! DON'T LET HER ESCAPE!"

I looked in the direction of the voices to see Erudite guards pointing our way.

"That's not good."
