Chapter Two: Valentine’s.
(About three weeks later…)
February 14th was supposed to be a special day for all of the happy couples around the world. On that day, people celebrate Valentine’s Day – a day of love and joy between partners in life.
On Valentine’s Day, it is a tradition to give gifts – roses, cards, and chocolates to mention a few – to the person who you really love with all of your heart. That is why almost everybody loves this special day which only comes once every year. Almost, because, sadly, not Taylor.
After their break-up with Harry Styles, she had always tended to lock herself in her dressing room after their rehearsals for the upcoming Red Tour. She had become quite aloof, and her dancers and friends had noticed that she had gotten skinnier. They thought that she might not be eating or sleeping well, which had bothered them greatly.
Ed, although not quite certain that his buddy was actually alright, had assured them that Taylor would be fine and would eventually get over Harry after quite some time. He, too, had noticed the sudden physical and social changes on Taylor, but he refused to think that she was starving herself and torturing herself just because of a guy. She wasn’t like that, and he was sure of that. He didn’t notice any changes about her performance whenever they rehearse, but he did observe that the usual happiness and shine on her blue eyes were gone.
Not to mention that a previous movie that Taylor had starred in was entitled “Valentine’s Day”, where her co-star, Taylor Lautner, had become her boyfriend after a couple of dates, and she had said that he was the best boyfriend but then their love story had ended miserably, and she had apologized to him with the song “Back to December”.
This is the worst day of my life. Like, ever, she groaned inwardly.

“‘…You go talk to your friends
Talk to my friends, talk to me
But we are never, ever, ever
Ever getting back together.’”
Taylor exhaled after finishing the last song in her Red Tour set list, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. She closed her eyes, and all of a sudden, images and memories of her and Harry together had flashed behind her eyelids. She had missed all of those times that they had shared, but sadly, just like the title of the song she had written, they would never get back together.
She knew she had to move on from him. But it was just so difficult.
The blonde had opened her eyes, and her blue orbs had immediately landed on her redhead best friend in front of her who was watching their rehearsals. Ed was staring at her, as if examining her, and she felt self-conscious. Although quite reluctantly, she tore her eyes away from him, and turned to her dancers who had huddled around her to hide her anxiety from him.
“The Tour will start next month,” she began, looking at the smiling faces of her dancers. “And I know that all of you did your very best in our rehearsals, and I want to thank everyone for an excellent job.” The dancers had started cheering and hooting as they clapped for themselves, which made Taylor smile. “I’m really proud of you, guys. And I’m sure that we’re going to perform splendidly.”
“We’re going to back you up for the whole Red Tour, Tay. Don’t worry, we’re going to be great, that’s for sure,” assured one of her female dancers, Desiree Harris.
Smiling widely, Taylor nodded in agreement. “I’ve got full trust on you, people. And yes, we will be amazing, as always,” the blonde guaranteed, and the group nodded with grins plastered on their faces. “But then, as I have promised, all of you have three days of rest before rehearsals will resume. Have a good day, everyone.”
