I pulled on my my uniform one morning, and was happy to see that my skirt wasn't as loose as it had been at the beginning of the year. I had made much more progress than I usually did. I tied my Hufflepuff tie before putting on my robes.
I gathered up my materials before leaving the Hufflepuff common room. I was able to find Melanie and walked with her down down to the Great Hall. We were relatively silent during our walk. There were plenty students around us, but most people were to tired to start up a conversation.
"Did you sign up for dueling?" Melanie asked randomly. I frowned and looked up at her, seeing as she was much taller than I am.
"What?"
"You know, dueling."
"That literally didn't explain anything." Melanie frowned.
"You don't know what wizard dueling is?" I shook my head. "It's a club here at Hogwarts. Basically two people fight with spells and hexes. It's pretty fun."
"Well, I've never heard of it before." Melanie snorted a bit.
"I'm not surprised, actually. It's usually something friends sign up to do together." I glared playfully at her.
"Thanks." She just shrugged. We continued walking, but somebody grabbed my shoulder. Melanie turned to see why I had stopped. She then looked at who grabbed me and gave me a suggestive look before walking off. I frowned before turning around to see who had actually grab me. I nearly let out a groan when I saw it was Kyle who had grabbed me.
He looked a bit embarrassed, but he always seemed to look like that. His hands never left my robe. Most of the students had walked passed us at this point, so there weren't many bystanders. I felt my heart beat a little faster in chest, and the thought of Sirius flashed through my mind. I frowned, but not at Kyle. Why was I thinking about Sirius?
"Del," he said while letting out a breath.
"When are you going to get the hint to stop bothering me?" I growled out before tugging my robes away from his grabby hands. He frowned, looking disappointed.
"What are you so snappy about? I apologized." I glared at him.
"That doesn't give you any right to keep bothering me." Kyle rolled his eyes.
"Don't be so over-dramatic," Kyle said before placing a hand on my shoulder. I rolled my eyes and tried to keep walking, but he grabbed onto me again. "Wait, I want you to give me a chance."
"Are you actually stupid?" I asked in a serious tone. He stared at my stupidly. "Like, I'm a bit concerned at this point."
"Listen, Del-"
"No, you listen, I said while pointing a finger at his chest. "I don't want anything to do with you. You're creepy, gross, and-"
"Disgusting," somebody finished for me. I turned around and thought I saw Sirius. As I studied his features a bit more, I soon realized that it was not Sirius. The first thing that had to give it away was the Slytherin tie they were wearing. If there was anything I knew about Sirius, it was that he wouldn't put that thing on to save his life. Besides that, there weren't many noticeable features besides how much younger he looked.
"Regulus..." Kyle said with a bit of nervousness tracing his voice. I raised my eyebrows in surprise and turned to the Sirius look-a-like. I realized this was who Sirius was referring to when he had last gotten rid of Kyle for me. I studied him a bit more and came to a conclusion: Regulus must be his brother.
Regulus dark grey eyes looked at Kyle with annoyance. Even though Regulus was probably younger than both of us, he easily towered over both of us as well. Kyle and I both had to look up to look at Regulus' face.
