I waited with my trunk for the carriages. It was freezing, and my scarf didn't seem to be keeping me warm enough. My hands were gripping the trunk tightly, I think. I couldn't really feel them anymore. My knees were banging together as I shivered in the cold.
"You alright, love?" I turned when I heard Toby speaking. I smiled when he wrapped his warms around me. He didn't let go, but rubbed my arms so I would warm up.
"Not really," I said with my teeth chattering. "It's bloody freezing."
"You get cold really easily."
"I can when it's -12 degrees," I muttered angrily. "I wish they'd hurry up..." Toby laughed and continued to rub my arms. I practically jumped into the carriage when one pulled up. Toby helped with the trunk and jumped in after me. I watched the the threstals pulled the carriages towards the where the Hogwarts Express would be waiting for us.
"I'm going to miss you," Toby said into my hair. I leaned my head on top of his, which was on my shoulder now.
"You too," I whispered. I grabbed his hand and gripped it tightly. He brushed his cold nose against my cheek before planting a kiss there. I smiled.
I was relieved when the carriage arrived at the platform. Toby helped me with my trunk again. I kissed him on his lips when he told me he was going to meet up with his other friends. I walked through the train until I found an empty compartment. I got my trunk settled before sitting down and leaning against the window.
I must have fell asleep before the compartment door opened again. I wasn't surprised when I saw the boys entered. I closed my eyes again.
"Wakey wakey, Del. It's the fun train," I heard James said. I grunted and swatted his hands that were poking my face.
"I'm going to hex your fingers off your hand," I grumbled.
"Someone's tired," I heard Peter mutter. "Wanna scoot over, Del?" I barely moved my feet on the seat I was laying down on. "Two people grumpy this morning." I opened my eyes James pouting now.
"What's he mad about?"
"Snivellus," James answered.
"What did he do?"
"Nothing in particular," James said while shrugging. "Just Lily being mad at me for being rude, like usual."
"After your guys' moment?" I asked in a teasing voice. "Harsh."
"I know!" James exclaimed while sinking in his seat. "Not fair."
"It's okay, mate," Remus said while smacking James on his back. "We all know it won't happen anyways." I glared at Remus.
"Don't listen to him, James," I said after plastering a smile on my face. "You're going to fall in love, get married, have children, and die." James looked horrified about how I ended the sentence. "How many children do you want."
"10." James spat out a random number. This caused Peter and Sirius to break out laughing. They laughed so hard that they were clutching their stomachs.
"That's a bit unrealistic..." I said. James smiled.
"I don't know. 3? Never really thought about it. I wonder how many she wants?" Remus' jaw dropped.
"You're talking like you're already married, James! Imagine if she heard this conversation." James just shrugged. I smiled widely at Remus.
"They might as well be, Remus--I mean, Moony." He glared playfully at me. "Because it's going to happen anyways."
"What's going on with you two?" Sirius inquired. He looked back between the two of us with narrowed eyes. Remus and I both looked away with knowing smirks.
