MADYS POV
I saw a sudden flash of light, and the next thing I remember was the nurse bent over me checking my pulse. I opened my eyes and instantly felt pain. I noticed my mom was in the chair next to me sleeping. Then I couldn't remember what had happened. I could remember driving home from the carnival, but that was it. I asked the nurse " what happened to my friends?" She looked nervous, like she didn't want to tell me something, I got no response. I asked again " please tell me what happened" she looked down at the floor, and said " Hannah has a broken leg, and Katie is completely fine with a couple of scratches. Zach has a concussion, Jacob has a broken arm and leg ..." Then she paused " and the driver is in a comma" I instantly felt hot tears run down my face, Bryce was the driver. " at this point in time we are not sure if he will survive or not" she said. This did nothing for me except make me cry more I loved Bryce. People say that I am too young to know what love is, but I knew that I truly couldn't live on without Bryce. I tried to get out of bed, I wanted to see him. The nurse didn't say anything, she just pushed me back into the bed. When she left I grabbed my phone from the table next to me. I called Katie.
K: hello?
M: Katie I need your help
K: Mady!! Your okay, they won't tell me anything
M: yeah I am but I need to see Bryce, and Hannah, Bryce is in a comma, and Hannahs has a broken arm. I don't even know what's wrong with me.
K: omg I will be right there, what room are you in.
M: 395
K: okay be there in 2 minutes
I set down my phone. I couldn't sleep I was worried and I felt pain everywhere. I was waiting and waiting for Katie, and I couldn't wait any longer. My mom is on the couch still sleeping, and the nurse left. I got up off my bed and opened the door slightly, and peeked outside. Nobody was there, very few nurses were there because it was the middle of the night. I ran to the main desk, I needed to know what room they were in. Let's see, I typed in Bryce hall, I scanned through the page, and found it room 267. Then I typed in Hannah Ferreira. I scanned the page again, she is in room 275. I went down to the second floor and ran into Katie. I dragged her with me. I was in so much pain. I don't even know how I am walking. Katie noticed my limp, she tapped me on the shoulder, but I ignored her and kept moving I needed to see Bryce. " 260, 261, 262, 263, 264, 265, 266, 267." Yes I found it. His room was very close to the elevator. I went in and he was laying on the bed lifeless. I covered my eyes with my hands and dropped to my knees. My legs couldn't take anymore, Katie come over and pulled me up. She brought me to the bed, I cried even more. Then his nurse came in startled by us. " you 2 are not supposed to be in here" she yelled I can't go back to bed I needed at least one second to talk to him. She went out into the hallway and got a bed. "I don't need that" I said to her " yes you do your right leg is broken in 3 places, and your left leg is broken in 4 places." She yelled at me "how did you even get down here, did your friend help you?" She questioned me " no I came by myself." I replied. she looked shocked "what?!?!?!?" She screamed "you shouldn't even be able to stand" I was sitting on the bed she came over to me and picked me up. She very carefully plopped me down into the bed from the hallway. She drove me down the hallway, and to the elevator. I didn't even get to say anything to him. I didn't see Hannah at all. Then suddenly I hear beep beep beeeeeeeeeep, and the nurse ran away leaving me right infront of the elevator, with Katie.
