MADYS POV
I couldn't stand the wait, I got up and ran. I ran as fast as I could not even feel any pain. I couldn't feel anything. I could only think, and I had one single thought going through my head. It is all my fault if he dies tonight. I walked in and the nurse covered his head with I blanket. I couldn't hold myself anymore my knees were wobbling. I couldn't bear the pain any longer. I fell to the ground the nurse couldn't get me up I needed to see him, but I couldn't. It was like the weight of the world was holding me down. Then I don't remember anything after that, I must have blacked out.
KATIES POV
Mady was a mess, Bryce just died. She really liked him, and they were so cute together. She wasn't okay. Her and Bryce were the worst hurt out of all of us. The nurse couldn't get her off of him. She was on top of him crying. She wasn't even supposed to be down here. I walked up to her, I rubbed her back. She stood up and looked at me. Her eyes were swollen, and red. "this is all my fault." She said to me. How was any of this her fault "no it's not you weren't the person in the other car that made us crash." I said back to her "no I wasn't but I was the one that said to go to the carnival. I wanted to go it is all my fault!!" She screamed at me. I couldn't even respond I felt so bad I picked her up and brought her out to the bed. She laid down on it curled up into a ball. I honesty didn't know what to do. I brought he back upstairs to her room. Her mom was awake, and looked relieved when she saw us. " where the hell were you two?!?!?" She said half yelling. I whispered into her ear "Bryce died" she wasn't okay at all. She was now back in her own hospital bed, and her mom was laying on the side of her. I went outside the room to give them some time. I went to see Hannah.
HANNAHS POV
I just heard two nurses in the hallway say that the driver died. It took only 2 seconds and it all clicked Bryce was the driver. I jumped up and grabbed my crutches, I went so fast that I didn't even see Katie. I ran right into her, "ouch" I screamed falling on top of her. A nurse came and helped us up, she tried to pull me back to my room, but I needed to see Mady. I went as fast as my crutches would take me, with Katie running by my side. I got to the elevator, and went up a floor. I went into Madys room, her mom saw me and got out of the need. Mady looked up at me and patted the bed next to her. I went over and sat next to her, she leaned her head on my shoulder. I felt drops coming down and hitting my shirt.
A week later
MADYS POV
I could finally go home, today. I hadn't been home in a week. I missed my bed, but I had to go back to school tomorrow. I got home late so I went to bed. Hannah slept with me in my room. We both had our casts on I have one on both of my legs, all the way up. Hannah has a halfway cast that went up to about her knee. I woke up to my alarm clock. I got dressed, and went into the bathroom. "Hey mads are you gonna be okay to go back to school today?" I heard from behind me, it was Hannah. "Yeah I think so" I said I went down stairs to eat breakfast. I ate and I started walking to school, for 2 reasons. 1 I needed exercise and 2 I am terrified of cars now. Me and Hannah were on our crutches walking down the street. We got to school and went to first period, it was math. We took some notes, and then class was over. I walked out into the hallway and went to my locker. I saw a hand come from behind me and shut my locker. I turned and saw the one person I didn't want to see today...
