Katherina dodged under her attack and moved faster than Katherine’s eyes could track to her back and very nearly throw her to the ground. Katherina stood up so they we’re both facing each other their expressions mirroring each other’s. Two sets of dark blue eyes shining with hate, anger, pain and maybe just the tiniest hint of sadness and regret. But that faded almost instantly as more thunder boomed and the sound of beating wings came, Katherine acting solely on instinct unfurled her wings and leaped off the ground the flames on her sword licking higher and sparks flew off it as she cut Katherina arm. In amazement that held her body prisoner for a moment she watched as the cut closed up and all that was left was a little scar.
“How?” Katherine asked wonderingly when Katherina smiled.
“It’s one of the perks,” she said and lunged at her kicking her legs out from under her and only by furiously beating her wings Katherine stayed on her feet.
“Perks of what?” Katherine snarled her fist flying out to blacken her sister’s eye.
“Perks of being what I am,” Katherina answered simply with another smile then darted forward to twist Katherine’s arm. She cried out and on instinct buried her sword in her arm, Katherina leaped back hissing and with a deadly smile. But it wasn’t a smile more like a snarl of an animal showing its teeth, very sharp teeth. Katherine jumped back as Katherina hissed at her and summoned up her own fiery blade. Katherine powerfully beat her wings of ebony black to gain height. Katherina followed by letting out wings of her own they were quite a bit larger than Katherine’s own but she could deal.
Their swords crashed into each other making a sound she thought might have been heard at the beginning of time. Crackling energy sparked from them and the swords began to tremble before an explosion blew both girls back into the storm clouds. This time when they found each other again Katherine was screaming at her. “Our parents! Our parents, Katherina you killed you own parents.” Tears welled in Katherine’s eyes as she went at her again: block, duck, and stab, deflect. Her mind went on autopilot until Katherina suddenly disappeared from her view just as her sword came down where she’d been standing before. “Get out here! Get out!” Katherine’s voice was filled with raw emotion, she was choking and her vision was red her head filled with her fury. So when she saw Lucifer and Michael emerge she almost thought it was Katherine.
“Stop, stop, it’s me and Lucifer, stop!” Michael cried tackling her to the ground and holding her arms to the ground. She was struggling out of the corner of her eyes she saw Katherina’s deadly approach to Lucifer’s back. She was as silent as a mouse and with a lighting fast motion went for him, “Lucifer!” Katherine’s scream was just enough he moved quickly toward her Katherina’s blade just missing him. She heaved herself up throwing Michael off and turning to Katherina.
“Why? Why do you have to hurt everyone else but never me, I’m the one you want!” She screamed and stabbed down with her fiery blade, it sank deeply into Katherina’s leg passing through all the muscle, tissue, and the bone and coming out on the other side to pin her to the ground. Katherine pulled back her foot to kick her in the face an she was on top of her punching her continually in the face, kicking her side, and scratching her leaving long gory trails down her face and neck.
“Katherine! Katherine, stop.” She whirled at the voice feeling white hot anger and the presence inside her growl and hurls itself against the cage bars.
“Why? She killed my parents she deserves to die, Michael don’t you understand!” Her voice was going higher and the storm clouds above them flashed with lighting. “She killed them!” Michael and Lucifer grabbed her around the waist quickly holding her back from Katherina. She was choking holding back tears; they dragged her back a few feet.
