“Michael,” Lucifer’s voice was strained. “Michael, I can’t keep it up much longer.”
“Just another couple seconds and she’ll wake up,” The sound of Lucifer’s strained voice and his grunting was what woke her up. Her eyes opened to see Lucifer’s hands over her his black eyes shut his breathing rough and fast and sweat beading his forehead.
“Lucifer?” She whispered her dark blue eyes fully opening.
“Thank god,” he muttered sitting back.
“Katherina she stabbed with a blade it had poison on it right?” She asked sitting up and turning worried eyes to Lucifer who leaned back against the kitchen walls sweating and his eyes closed.
“Yes, it did. Lucifer her purged the poison from your system.” Michael said helpfully.
“How?” Katherine asked wide eyed.
“By moving the poison out of your body with your every breath and dissipating it into the air.” Michael said again leaning against the wall.
“Lucifer? Lucifer are you okay,” when he didn’t answer she crawled over to him shaking his shoulders a bit until his eyes opened.
“What?” He asked wearily.
She nearly choked again hugging him tightly her arms wrapping around his back and she was sitting in his lap planting kisses on his cheeks, lips, neck anywhere of him she could reach. “I thought… just for a moment… you were gone. That I lost you.” She hugged him tighter kissing his lip lingeringly.
“I’m not going anywhere,” his voice was tired. “I give you my word.” She nodded keeping her head close to his her eyes locked on his and her hands cradled his head she let her head drop onto his shoulder and shut her eyes. Trying to generate feelings of peace and love into him.
“I love you; I love you more than anyone in the world. Your mine forever,” she murmured in his ear and knew he was smiling at the words.
“I know, I’ve always know.” He moved to sit up now his black wings unfurling. “I need to go but I promise I swear I’ll be back.” With that his black wings surrounded him and with the slightest hint of thunder he was gone.
“Bye,” Katherine whispered then stood and with a solemn face she ran upstairs to the guest bedroom and went to the closet moving aside coats and things until she reached a box.
“What are you-,” Michael stopped in midsentence as she flipped the locks up on the box and drew out a sword with flame licking along the edges. Staining the metal was faint traces of blood still on the gleaming metal.
“The sword that killed my mother and father is the sword I’ll kill my sister with.” Katherine said standing up and holding it firmly in her palms. Her mind was hurtling back to when she’d run into their room only to be faced with their slaughtered bodies. Her hands gripped the hilt of the sword and the blade so tightly she drew her own blood.
“Michael she killed my parents because of me, everything that’s been hurting the people I love is because of her.”
Katherine drew a deep breath, “because of me, every single thing that happened is because of me. And it’s time I ended it.” She walked out of the room feeling steely determination as she walked down the steps and out the front door. Once out she unfurled her ebony wings and took off her senses guiding her to the clearing where she’d been greeted with throngs of angels. This time when she reached it, it was empty and echoing the moon above was cold. Huge black clouds were rolling in sealing the clearing off from the rest of the world.
“Katherina! Come out my sister I know you’re here!” Her cry echoed into the night and before she knew it her sister was there standing directly across from her. Katherina’s dark blue eyes glowed with menace and undisguised fury.
“Your battle’s is with me so let’s end it here.” Katherine said stepping forward. “You murdered everyone I loved, our parents Katherina you killed our parents!” Anguish was in Katherine’s voice as she stepped forward the sword in her hands grew hotter the flames licking higher.
“I murdered them just as I’ll murder you, then Michael, then Lucifer, everyone you ever loved.” Her voice was vicious and her eyes glowed with pure hate.
Katherine screamed as rage filled her body and with the powers of the angels coursing through her body she gave the first strike. The battle had begun.
