Chapter 12: Misunderstanding and Miss Snoopy

Shor's P.O.V

"Shor I... can't" 

"Guys mum wants you now" Reece yells taking a very frightened looking Emory by the arm pulling her through the crowded party as I follow behind slowly my head facing the ground. 

She said no. I can't believe she said no. Everything about her led me to believe she'd say yes and then she said no.

"Oh Emory, Shor finally, Natalie this is my son Shor you obviously know him, but this beautiful girl here, this is Emory she made Shor change his attitude towards girls" Kelly explains and I just put on a thin very fake smile for the crowd and stand on one side of my mum while Emory stands on the other side. 

"Hi Emory, lovely to meet you, I'm Natalie Godfrey, Chloee's mum" Oh god I forgot, Nat was Chloee's mum. 

"Hi lovely to meet you too, I know Chloee lovely girl" Emory acts her little toosh off, a toosh that said no to being my girlfriend, I want to scream and cry and punch a wall, but right now I just stand next to my mum a fake smile painted on my face and everything inside me yelling at me to scream at her, to grab Emory pull her into another room and demand for her to explain to me why she wont date me what I had done so wrong to her that she would lead me to believe she was ready when she wasn't. 

But for now all I do is politely tell my mum to "Excuse me while I use the bathroom" I could see Emory out of the corner of my eye trying to catch my gaze and follow me, but she's dragged off by my mum to meet more of mums friends.

Still Shor's P.O.V 

I'm in the bathroom, with the tap running but I'm just sitting against the door with my knees up to my chest, screaming into my knees. 

I have been in here screaming for a straight 20 minutes when my throat starts to feel like a raging bush fire has started up in it. I finally decide to stop screaming and wash my face under the crystal icy water streaming from the tap, I splash it over my face the chilliness of the water calming me down. 

Knock Knock Knock

"Shor?" I hear Reece shout from outside the door. 

I say nothing I just walk over to the door unlocking it then returning to my position of me leaning over the basin my hands on either side of the sink. 

"What's going on Shor, Emory's out there facing all of mums friend alone and when I ask her where you went she said you went to the bathroom 20 minutes ago she also seemed extremely distraught and was frantically trying to find an escape from mums grasps, whats going on?" She says concerned but demanding at the same time.

"You wanna know what happened?" I yell turning to face her "You wanna know what happened?" I say this time calmer with an underlay of sadness "I asked her out" I say looking at the floor. 

"Shor thats great, whats the problem then? Why are you hiding in here? I swear to god if you've changed your mind I might kil-" 

"She said no" I yell cutting her off. 

"She said no?" Reece asks dumb founded 

"Yep" I say sourly returning to hovering over the sink.

"That doesn't make any sense we were talking about it before and she said she was gonna say yes if you asked? Did you ask her why she said no?"
