Training continued for several weeks. In edition to school work they were give hand to hand combated training and automatic weapons training. Nicholas was excluded from the latter for unknown reasons. Then came the day when they were once again put in to the Labyrinth.

"Tonight you are going to rob a bank" the young women on the screen in the briefing room said through the speakers.

"You will have to beat the other teams to the inside of the vault but first you must disable the security with out killing or maiming them. You will be allowed to use your power as long as you do not damage the labyrinth.

"OK, watcher I want you to do a sweep of the environment as we go, locate the security and the other teams. Paragon I want you to shield us both. Nicholas use your heat to keep the security off us, but be careful, we don't want to start a fire."

Nicholas nodded but remained quiet as he shifted nervously.

"Suit up everyone" Alvin concluded. The suits they wore this time were similar to the ones they wore in the first labyrinth game except they were bulkier and resembled armor. The door opened  to a hallway, the floor was carpeted and the walls were made out of wood, a painting decorated one side. Alvin signaled for his team to follow him and to be quiet. They went to the next room which was full of empty cubicles. Amanda grabbed Alvin's shoulder.

"There is a security guard in the main office"

"Paragon, I want you to distraction while I taze him." Alvin decided. Paragon nodded and moved forward and to the left. Alvin moved up toward the security guard, being careful to stay out of view. Suddently Susanne stood up and thrust her hand forward, as she did a table flew into the air and bashed into the wall next to the security guard. The security gard didn't move, he stood still like he had been turned to stone. Then in one fluid motion, he drew his gun, aimed and fired.

Alvin's body moved at a speed which surprised even him, he slammed straight into the guard throwing off his aim, the projectile hit the wall directly behind Susanne. The gunshot echoed through the building. Alvin's tazor connected with the mans flesh there was a low buzz and a low moan as the man's body fell limp with unconsciousness.

"Damn it, these guys are carrying guns?" Alvin shouted, no longer caring about secrecy. "How are supposed to take these guys out without killing them if they all carry guns? Did they even think about our safety here?" The anger was palpable in his voice. Despite his rage he couldn't help but notice that the security guard seemed strangely familiar.

"T.L." Amanda called "more security is headed this way". Alvin took a minute to calculate the odds.

"It would be better to find a place to hid. How far away are they?"

"Five minutes but it seems like they just started engaging another team." Amanda answered.

"We can surprise them from behind, lets go now." He headed towards the door at the far end of the room. The others scattered around him. Alvin opened the door and stepped back. There was no one in the hallway but sounds of battle were coming from around the corner. Alvin stepped past the threshold, suddenly the world turned white.
