Susan awoke to the sound of gun fire. Within an instant she was up and out of bed while the others were still in starring in shock. The adrenaline pushed through her body, panic welled up in her mind. The training her parents instilled came just in time.
'Push your emotions away, unclnder your mind. A man with his mind clouded does not see the cliff till after he is falling, but the leval headed one sees all there is to see"
She silently chanted the words to herself. They were words easy to speak but hard to carry out. With in her nature fought against nature.
Her nail cut in to her palm, as her her hands formed into fists. The pain was good, pain clears the mind of usless thought and emotions.
Finaly she could focus again. Nature had won, but it had been close. Susanne's eyes darted across the room. Her inner battle had taken only a moment. The others had got out of bed but were still confused.
"What the hell is going on!" Alvin Shouted at no one in particular.
"This is really bad. " Amanda mutter as she sumoned her power.
"Is this some kind of drill?"
No people are dieing out there! the numbing chill of panic was palpable in her voice
Nicolas was standing silently in the corner trapped in his own internal struggle.
The door opened and a shadowed emerged from the hall way, a gun in his right hand.
Before the others could even think, the gun was out his hand and into hers.
With out hesitation Susan pointed the gun at the shadows head.
"Susanne wait" Amanda called from the background.
Susan paused, it was then that she realized the shadow was wearing a kitchen staff uniform.
"This facility is has been compromised." The voice was strangely calm, and controlled.
"Follow me." This time voice was still calm but carried with an edge of command. Without saying another word he drifted out into the shadows. His footsteps were silent as if they were made out of air. His body moved with such skill and grace it was if he were swimming.
The members of team the followed without stopping to take a thing with them.
