"Okay Mrs. Parker" Mrs.parker? that's Dylan's last name and I know I wasn't asleep for that long. I look towards the side of my bed to see Dylan just smiling and whispering that he'll explain later. the doctor continues, "you have 3 kidney stones. they are very close to you being able to pass them on your own, but if you don't pass them within the hour, I will have no choice, but to bring you into surgery because they are so large." the doctor gives me a wink and leaves to check on his other patients. "okay so please explain how I'm now Mrs. Parker." I said through a chuckle. Dylan's face got red. "okay so when they took you into the room, they asked me to stay behind and fill out some paperwork. the first question was your name. so I put Samantha Parker because I don't want to bring any trouble to your family. you know that both my parents died when I was about your age. I think that's one of the reasons that we have connected so well!" I just smile at Dylan while longing to get out of here. suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen. I take Dylan's hand and squeeze as hard as I can. thankfully that pain didn't last too long. the doctor came in 15 minutes later. I still hadn't passed the kidney stones. the doctor explains to me that he will have to surgically remove them. "I need to go prep the room for surgery so you guys can just stay here for a few minutes. I will be right back!" Dylan looks so nervous. "Dylan, what's wrong?" "Nothing. it's just, I want you to be okay. I want the surgery to go well." I look at him with such admiration. "Awww, Dylan I'm going to be okay!" we stare at each other with big smiles for a few seconds before the doctor comes back in. he can tell that we need a moment so he pretends to look busy. "you're going to go into the surgery and do great! I'm going to be out in the waiting room and do just that. wait. but I will also be praying A LOT! I'll see you soon!" his lips softly brush mine with the sweetest of kisses. as the doctors wheel me down the hallway, I hear the doctor say, "don't worry Samantha. you're going to do great!" the next thing I know, the doctor is putting a sleeping mask over my face and it knocks me out instantly. I wake up to a beautiful smiling face.
