"who are you?" I asked nervously. "what do you want?" " the unfamiliar voice replied," I think you know exactly what I want." I grabbed my phone from my pocket. "do you really want to do that Samantha?" he knows my name. how does he know my name? "who are you?" "my name is Jose Morales. I think I know you're brother." the man got up and started walking towards me. I didn't have any time to waste. I grabbed my backpack and ran out the door. It was a total God moment. all of a sudden, the door to Dylan's hotel room opened and he walked out. I ran right into him. "sam!? what's going on?" I only had enough time and breath to say one word, "RUN!!" he grabbed his backpack as fast as he could and ran next to me. "they found us Dylan. they found us!" we ran as fast we could. we didn't have time to wait for the elevator so we took all 9 flights of stairs. I figured Jose couldn't be the only one from the tala ban here, so I led Dylan out the back door, through the kitchen. we raced out the door, headed straight for the car. arms wrapped around my right leg. I fell to the ground. I struggled to get free. "SAM!!!" I heard Dylan scream. I kicked the tall, dark man as hard as I could. "GET OFF OF ME!" I managed to kick the man in the eye. he grabbed his face in pain. I ran to Dylan's car and climbed in. Dylan backed out and sped off. we drove for about 45 miles before Dylan spoke, "Sam." I could tell he was struggling to find what to say. "it's okay Dylan. you don't have to say anything." "no. it's my fault. I should've been more careful. I made a promise to Lucas to protect you and I broke my promise. just seeing you in pain and trouble. it broke my heart Sam." "Dylan, you did your absolute best and that is more than I could ask for. I told you that I trust you and meant it. it's going to be okay Dylan. I'm going to be okay." he pulled off the main road into an abandoned parking lot. I started to ask what he was doing, but I was cut off by a warm, passionate kiss. he pulled back. "what was that for?" I asked with a smile on my face. "in case I never get to do that again." if I had my way and hopefully it was God's way, he would most definitely get to do that again. we continued to drive for hours and hours on end and as usual, we did it hand in hand. at last, I saw the sign. I replayed the words over and over in my head. "welcome to Georgia."
