DESTINY

It's December 17th 1967 and one very pregnant woman is sitting waiting for her name to be called as another woman walked in.  "Tali Hinder for Doctor Gregory" she said.  "Just sit down and we'll be right with you" the nurse remarked.  She saw a seat and sat down.  "Ready to have the kid".  "I should just pitch a tent in the bathroom by the way this kid's going how about yours" she asked.  "Got another month but he keeps me up sometimes" rubbing her belly.  "So you know you're having a boy?".  "I've got two boys at home my husband thinks it's another boy so why not go with his gut" she stated. 

"You know if it's a girl your husband may never live it down" as they chuckled.  "Tali".  "Dimitra do you know what you're having?".  "My husband did everything expect offer the doctor money to find out so I told him he's got a daughter coming our first".  "What are you thinking of names?".  "My mother in law is a bit of a hippie and she wants to name the baby Destiny believe or not I like it".  "My husband wants to name it after his father Nicolas but I love the name Christopher".  "Compromise make Nicolas his middle name and Christopher his first name" Tali suggested.  "I'll talk to him about that thanks"

"Dimitra Sarntaokas".  "That's Sarantakos talk to you later"Dimitra said and left.   Two days later Tali was doing the dishes while her husband watched Bewitched.  "Come on sweetie you're missing it" he called out.  As Tali headed for the living room she stopped and looked down.  "Marcus!"she called out.  Marcus came in to see his wife and a puddle of something under her.  "It's time" smiling a little.  "Kid picked a great time to come during a snow storm" helping his wife to the car.   At the hospital Tali was in her room holding her daughter as another woman was rolled in. 

"Just relax here and we'll see how your son is doing"the nurse remarked.  "Dimitra is that you?".  "Tali oh my god you had your baby?".  "A hour ago don't tell me your baby came early".  "I had him in the ER but he may have to go to the NICU and I'm scared" as tears fell down her face.  "Relax Dimitra your child is going to survive this and live his life".  Almost instantly a nurse came in holding her son who was crying for his mother.  "Here you go Dimitra a healthy baby boy" giving it to her as Tali put her baby in her bassinet. 

She brought her over and sat on her bed.  "He's adorable Dimitra".  "My little Christopher you are going to a special little boy I can feel it" as she cradle him.  "Same with you Destiny you are special to me and your father".  "I have a feeling our children will be good friends" Dimitra remarked.  "So will we Dimitra".  She put Christopher in the same bassinet as Destiny and the babies locked their tiny hands together.
